Excellent prop
Writing this review because Im suprised at the comments in other reviews. This is a great prop piece. It is sharp, which I like, and very sturdy. Im not going to let kids play with it, as it could be dangerous. The metal came coated with a protective oil, to prevent weather/water damage. My only negative is that there is no option to purchase a matching staff/handle. In the end, the description is accurate and gives a historic synopsis.

Cool but sharp!
Maybe I’m in the wrong here, but I ordered this to be a prop in a play and it arrived sharpened! Are there people out there that need sharpened halberds?! Am I crazy?

The peasants hate this!
This is great for keeping peasants out of the keep 10/10 guards favorite.

Nice Halberd - Cheap Screws
Watch Out… cheap screws could ruin the entire build. Prepared a nice expensive hickory staff, pre-drilled appropriately sized holes for the included screws and the first one snapped off 3 turns into the wood! Now I have to risk weakening the staff by rotating the pokey end potentially cracking where the fastener broke or risk using with only one secured screw. Either way, not happy with the project now and not about to waste a nice staff.
