Colorado Spice Whole Bay Leaves, 3 Ounce

I use bay leaves in stews and soups all the time, so I was glad to have found this product on Amazon. Colorado spice bay leaves are well packaged and not broken. The smell is nice (not sure if it’s less strong compared to other bay leaves), and they will last me a long while. The jar of bay leaves I received looks very much like the one pictured here. I love using whole leaves in dishes because then it’s easy to spot them once the dish is cooked. Based on the quality and the price of this product, I will consider purchasing more spices from this company in the future.

3 very well, tightly packed plastic canister style jars arrived in a very well, tightly packed shipping carton. Shipper would have to work hard to damage the content. Very pungent leaves.My husband uses Bay Leaf in his 'industrial strength' spaghetti sauce. I use it in my cabinets to prevent bugs. I ordered this large quantity to spread around the house in closets, drawers and storage areas and less used rooms in the house. And, I am going to try it in places around windows and doors, garage, dog house and outside storage in hopes of preventing bugs elsewhere. Bay leaves prevent hatching of bug eggs. Hope to control fleas, ants and other critters. It is safe and works so well in cabinets that I have high hopes of keeping my dogs clear of fleas and other mites. Hoping for the best.I will glue the leaves onto strips of cardboard and hang on door frames and windows in the house and garage; also around porch lights where bugs and spiders gather. Wish me luck.One last note: the containers can be reused to store other items (rice, oats,dried beans; even sugar or hobby supplies) they are square -less wasted storage space in cabinets and stackable. Good to have second uses for containers.

I was quite surprised when I received my container of Bay Leaves. The picture make s them look like they were harvested and dried at the peak time to maintain a fresh look and quality leaves ….. that is NOT what I got. The leaves were mostly a yellowish green, and many had leaves that looked like they had bad spots when they were picked and should have been thrown out.

It's really hard to use this product because most of it is in little shards. There are very few whole leaves, it's like someone got a handful and crumbled them. Will not order again.

Meh, will not order these again. Not very pungent and poorly packaged for an item that is billed as whole leaves.

Nice scent. They're not as strong as the California bay I'm used to, so I have to use more, but they're quite nice.

This was exactly what I expected, lots of whole leaves, I was using this for a craft project. Worked wonderful! !!!

I was very surprised at how amazingly aromatic the leaves wete upon opening. Also majority of the leaves are whole. I expected much more to be crushed. Nice product
