3M High Strength Large Hole Repair Kit

I've been repairing drywall holes for almost 50 years. I've made my own mixture using a bag of fiberglass fibers & powdered joint compound. It would take one day to set, then I'd have to sand & touch up the next day. No longer! This stuff is great! During a nice February day in Wyoming, I was able to use this premix drywall compound, sand it 30 min. later & paint in my unheated garage all in an afternoon. (Ok. It was the warmest 2 days in WY-night time temp above freezing.) The fibers aren't all that large, but if you look at the frosting-consistency (Cool-Whip like) compound you'll see them. It's very light weight & on the dry side so you'll have to work quickly. Plan before you start. Went on very smoothly, no crumbling even though it was so dryish. I sprayed the surface with a mist of water after each use/before sealing the tub. I wanted to try something different (due to the time of year) so I found a YouTube video showing 10 ways to repair drywall & decided this product looked most useful. I'm glad I did. I would never go back to my old method again. By the way, I first had to contact the company & their reply was incredibly quick & spot on what I needed. No nonsense BS. Good product. I had to remove an old Alarm Key pad that a 5” square hole on the wall. This 3m kit had the directions and time saving products to make the hole disappear as if it was never there. 3m always has quality items and this item is no different.

I bought the 32 oz kit, as it was better priced than the 12 oz kit.However, after repeatedly requesting returns/reorders; I was sent the 12 oz kit on 3 separate occasions. Although, Amazon addressed the issue appropriately I'm pretty certain my experience wasn't a mistake/coincidence so a forewarning... buyers beware. Although Amazon states they would correct this issue after my complaint I somehow don't trust conglomerates and would hate for anyone else to also experience my same issue. Outside of that the product is a keeper...almost a must have if you have drywall. Be sure to allow the product to harden overnight before sanding, hope this helps!

This stuff lays on so incredibly thick and isn't runny like other products, but at the same time is really easy to lay flat and shape the way you need it. I had a bunch of wall mounted TVs that the previous home owner left behind, and so this was great for holes that were around 1.5-2 inches (definitely not small). From what I saw the stuff doesn't shrink very much either, maybe because of the pieces of tiny fabric that you can see in the mix. I'm very happy I ran into this stuff instead of trying to use regular spackle or drywall joint compound.

this was my first foray into drywall repair, and I’m certainly no handyman. This product worked perfectly for patching a 5 inch diam hole in wall, and the process could not have been easier, taking maybe 10 mins. no prob drilling into and mounting (towel rack) on patch material after dry. highly recommended!

It said 32Oz compound but I only receive 12Oz

Easy to use if you follow the directions, my son decided he was going to parkour off the wall in the hallway and put a hole about 3 inches across in it. Anyone want to adopt a kid?
