Great taste
Love the taste - perfect to sweeten coffee or as an ice cream topper. Nice thick consistency and does not taste artificial. The bottle design is also perfect to avoid spillage.

So gourmet
The caramel is so rich and buttery. Be careful how much you use. A little goes a long way. If you're a freak for caramel...have at it. Very good with sliced Grannies, over cinnamon rolls, with toasted nuts of course. Very smooth texture, pleases the palate very well

Wonderfully smooth and buttery taste of quality caramel.
I can always count on Ghirardelli for quality products. Used to love seeing the huge Ghirardelli sign down on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Quality chocolate, hot chocolate mix and now the caramel sauce. I used to get the venti sized caramel latté at Starbucks with extra whipped cream and extra caramel sauce on top. (I know, cost a fortune!) I loved that caramel sauce and was hoping this would be close. It surpasses it. I use some in my coffee once in a while. It’s also very sweet so it’s a bit tricky to get that caramel taste without it being too sweet but I manage! Also great on Ben and Jerry’s ice cream (like it needs any topping). Pours smoothly and I don’t have to squeeze bottle with lots of effort, at least not so far. I imagine it will be a little difficult once I get down to the end of the bottle, but I’m trying to make it last. It’s worth the price. Many other caramel sauces just taste sweet with little real caramel flavor. Lastly, I bought it earlier this month, October 2024, and expiration date is not until 12/30/2025 which is great. Always a risk with food products online. Please try it.

yummy
So delicious and can be used over ice cream, added to coffee, as a baking ingredient and more.

Shelf Life
The sauce is great. Once it gets to about 1/3 you have to help the sauce in the pump and if you wait any longer than 2+ months to use it will grow hairy mold along the inside pump straw.

Perfect for white chocolate mochas — just like the coffee shop!
This Ghirardelli white chocolate sauce is amazing! It was packaged well and arrived on time. I use it to make white chocolate mochas at home, and I honestly can’t tell the difference between this and what they use at Starbucks. It’s smooth, creamy, and blends perfectly with espresso and almond milk. A must-have for any coffee lover!

Real Chocolate Flavor one of the best
I am a chocolate junkie. No two ways about it. I have tried all the major brands of chocolate. After sampling them all I have come to the conclusion that Ghirardelli Chocolate Flavored Sauce is the best in all categories.Typically the American palette likes the sweeter, less chocolatey thinner syrups. The bitter heavily roasted cocoa and high sugar with vanilla create a distinct flavor profile with little complexity and a huge chocolate finish. Named after a company in Pennsylvania starting an H, most consider this to be a true chocolate flavor but it is more reminiscent of burnt coffee than chocolate. After trying all of the best sellers, I have come to the conclusion, at just about any price, Ghirardelli is the best. The syrup is very thick, not so sweet with a rich, deep chocolate flavor that while initially seems less chocolatey than lesser syrups that give you everything up front then leave with just a sweet syrupy finish. The subtle deep chocolate flavor of the Ghirardelli builds with complex notes, subtle true dark chocolate flavor with just enough sweetness. The finish is a nice chocolate flavor that is not so sweet that you cannot experience the real flavor of the cocoa. It is not roasted as dark, and therefore not so bitter. The bitterness in my estimation hides the low-quality of chocolate in the cheaper, more commercial generic brands.I use the pump for my product as I have a super-automatic espresso machine and have a daily mocha. I have to admit I use what most would consider an excessive amount of chocolate but I have grown to really love this stuff over all other brands, even the extraordinarily expensive chocolate made by a large coffee company starting with S. While theirs is good, actually quite similar to this, they charge about 6 times as much, not at all worth it and often times the packaged product is old (probably because of the high price). If you are a coffee fanatic like me, get the 87.3-ounce package and the pump. It is a better deal plus the pump meters out about 1 tablespoon per press to help you make consistent drinks or for ice cream. Many have complained that the pump stops working before all the product is used up. I have a simple solution for that. When I have extracted all I can with the pump, I remove the pump. Then simple put the entire bottle in the microwave for about 20 seconds and you can simply pour the remaining 10% of the product out. For me it’s time to reorder another.Cleaning the pump must be done after each bottle to prevent mold or contamination from the air. I can usually get about 2 tablespoons out of it, enough for a small mocha. For me it is like licking the frosting from a bowl after mixing. Go ahead and lick it clean! I take it completely apart, then clean, dry and reassemble for next use. Be careful not to lose any parts of the pump, it’s rather expensive. I recommend taking it apart before you use it so you can see how it comes apart. There is no better chocolate sauce at any price.
