First Stories: Peter Pan Board book – August 1, 2017

This was very difficult to rate. It's a cute book, adorable drawings, great rhymes - a great way to introduce a baby to the world of Peter Pan. A big plus are those little activities/flaps for baby to lift, move, rotate. However, the book is extremely short - essentially it is 4 scenes, Peter taking the children, arriving in Netherland, rescuing the children from the pirates and leaving Neverland. I wish it would have at least 2 more scenes, especially for the price. After reading each scene, I usually tell our 8 month old more about Peter Pan and Neverland to enjoy it a bit longer while she plays with the flaps/activities - which reminds me to add that it is a very sturdy board book that can take attempts to manipulate the flaps even from very young and uncoordinated hands.So I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to introduce a baby or young toddler to Peter Pan or to anyone whose child prefers short books or interactive books. I originally planned to get quite a few of this book series (Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Nutcracker) but am not sure now because I expect them to be equally short - maybe when they are on sale.

Lovely book. This is a fun book. My three year old loved it. I took 1 star off because my son has a hard time with one of the pages. The slide part with Peter Pan saving Wendy gets stuck. I would recommend this book. It’s adorable.

My sister's favorite Disney movie is Peter Pan so it was only natural to buy this book for her son's first birthday. I don't know who loved the book more. It's colorful and fun tabs to pull or twist to change the scenes. A fun read for both parent and child.

Liked it. Only concern is that the slide outs fall back and forth with simply tilting the book. Seems like they will break quite soon. But I suppose that is the fate for a children's book anyway.

I couldn't love this book more! I've been looking for a good Peter Pan book but the Golden Book version was still too big for my 1 year old. This chunky board book is perfect. The way they used the "pulls" to make the kids fly is beyond clever and delightful. I already bought multiple additional copies as this will be a go to gift for the future!

It was great and should be called movable parts book instead of pop up. This is a good thing! The book is great fun for the kids to move on each page but is very durable.

Bought for my nephew. We just went to Disney together. Peter Pan was always my favorite and I took him on Peter Pan's Magic Flight. This is a great book for toddlers. The artwork is very sweet.

This book is very sturdy and well written. It’s easy for small kids to understand the story and keeps their interest. It was a big hit.
