A whole year of maths lessons!

This is the best book I have seen for Year 4. I am a mum and home tutor and very very pleased that I bought this book for my son. I often find it hard to understand the "maths syllabus" from the national curriculum. When I quiz my childs' teacher I get some garbled info which still does not give me the full picture. After buying this book I am now aware of what he needs to learn and to what depth. The layout is very well defined and I am able to help my son much more effectively. I personally feel that if a child can spend time and effort and do almost all questions particularly Sections A and B he/she will make fantastic progress. A great book for both parents and children alike.

Now, this book by Stephen Pearce is literally my best planning support. It guides you through the topics to teach and can help you with your medium term planning as well. I use it with my year partner to discuss what topics we will be teaching over the next half term. It really supports our planning process.The worksheets within the book are differentiated well and can be cut up into A, B and C at times, which gives you the opportunity to let the children decide for themselves to go for 'medium', 'hard' or 'hardest' as I like to call them.MUST BUY FOR ALL TEACHERS!!Edit: ANSWER BOOK NOT INCLUDED!! (Nevertheless best purchase I have made for educational purposes, ever)

Not much to say.If your child is attending tuition then you may be required to purchase this book.Got my copy from the “Book Depository“ as the book is not in print.It was a little tatty but all the pages are intact and none are marked.I award four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Happy shopping.

This is a great book for Year 4 students. It reinforces the basic maths skills they would have learnt until then and at the same time introduces them to the next higher level. Questions in every topic are categorised into three levels to cater to students of all levels(basic, good, challenging).This colourful book includes questions involving all areas of National curriculum and provides excellent practice in not only the analytical questions but also in the problem solving ones. I love the way this whole book is organised into three big sections with each section covering all areas so that students get to revisit all the areas every term. I strongly recommend this book !
