Oak Coffee Table ◈ While we sometimes use lumber salvaged from old buildings we often find ourselves sourcing beautiful walnut slabs from little villages around the country. Trees that have fallen due to storm, age or village ordinance, trees that belong to elderly people that don't have the means to handle them. We're happy to be able to bring you pieces made from real wood while helping out the folks in those remote places. ◈ This is a classic design with a massive 2" (5 cm) oak, live-edge top and hairpin steel legs. Elegant and extremely durable, you can leave this one to your grand kids. ◈ The coffee table is finished with bio oils and hand-rubbed beeswax to a smooth and durable finish. The steel legs are welded right here in our shop. They also feature metal inserts at the joints which greatly improves durability and practicality. The legs can be dyed in any shade or left raw and clear coat protected. ◈ Each tree is different, so your piece of furniture will have just the right amount of unique characteristics. We made sure the construction is stable, solid and elegant, while the surface has satin-touch finish.
