These are as good, better, than you might expect for the price. Seem solid and well-made.I wanted these for macro work - fungi etc at a few cms to mebbe a metre-ish, They are absolutely great, ample light for that - 'hot-shoe' fitting with 1/4 screw another boon - allows fitting to all sorts of mini-tripods 'magic-arms' etc etc etc.So: light ample - tick; battery life very good- tick; solid build- tick; mountings and diffuser first class -tick.What else ? Well I bought this at the same time a an almost identical light from a well-known company in lighting that sound like the play by Samuel Becket 'waiting of .......' ( I cannot be less obtuse because the review will be rejected. Anyway they are both similar in nearly every way, Except the on-off switch. The neewer one is push button - much much easier to operate with gloves on than the other companies.Many will want this for video and I cannot say I've tried it but for around a metre usage it will i suspect be a good fill light.A bargain - and so easy to pack.

All good, does the job

I was looking for an affordable video light to see me through the darker months and enable me to continue my videography indoors without unwanted grain.It works very well and I found the brightness was ample (I use it on the hot shoe of my Canon camera) but it works off camera too on a light stand.The only point I would raise is that the second time I turned it on it was flashing rhythmically with the brightness going up and down. I was in the process of starting a return due to it being faulty when I tried pressing the mode button a few times and it seemed to right the problem. It’s been fine ever since. The battery seems to last well and is really easy to charge with the USB it’s supplied with.

For the price that it is, this is a really essential product to have as a person who produces content for a living or even takes pictures in darker environments. You need more than one of these to make a photo look naturally lit up but it is quite powerful and doesn’t need to be recharged often.

Neewer fill light very good little light its pocket size so great for mobile recording comes with usb lead and has 3 colour settings white to warm and brightness up and down these each have there own button there's 5 little dot lights in blue that tell you the remaining battery the battery lasts longer than all my others except the small rig which was double the priceThis is fantastic and versatile there's a 1/4 mounting thread on the bottom there are also shoe mount slots around the edges so other lights can be daisy chained there's a flat shoe bottom that'd universal pretty muchFinally there is a sos mode by holding power for a couple of seconds its reasonable for the price neewer are excellent in my opinion and ideal for your entry level equipment mostly plastic except internals and USB etchighly recommended

The NEWEER LED Video Light was supplied in a branded retail box containing the video light with detachable diffuser, charging cable and various documents – including an end of life disposal advisory. The light itself is very lightweight and is fitted with a hot shoe mount at the bottom which has an adjustable ring to secure it, and on the rear a n on / off button, a mode button to switch between the cool white, warm white and mixed light modes. There is also a ‘+’ and ‘-’ button to step up or down the brightness of the light and below that a battery indicator which takes the form of 4 LEDs, with 4 being fully charged and 1 being 25% charged etc, under that us the USB C charging port. The chassis sides and top have cold shoe mounts if you wanted to mount another accessory. The diffuser does detach and you can play with the lighting without the diffuser to get different results. The light temperature or colour is limited to the range between 3200k and 7200k according to the manual, which means it sits in a midrange position with respect to that feature.In use it throws a nice soft light for using when doing close up photography – something that I am currently spending more time with and it works very well for me. Whilst I have no use for the ‘scene mode’ at this time, it is a feature that is built in to the light and it may one day be another thing I focus on so glad to have it aboard.The current price is £26.99 which I think has risen (hasn’t everything?) in recent weeks but as usual with NEWEER products you get well made kit at a reasonable – not the cheapest – price. This light offers good portability, decent brightness, and some scene modes that may be of immediate use to some photographers off the bat. I’m quite impressed with the results I’ve obtained using it and thus it gets my 5 stars

This is really good light for those on a budget.It's very easy to use, everything's intuitive and you can just use out of the box without reading the manual.Battery life is very good - a couple of hours, which is long enough for any shoot.It's great that it remembers your last-used settings, so when you turn it on it will be the brightness, colour etc that you last used.It's limited in a couple of ways compared to more expensive lights:⭕ max brightness, so this light is most useful for close-up work with people of videoing items that are near⭕ you can't choose any colour you like, you can choose between three settings, although all three are well positioned and useful

This product is GREAT for pictures and you can adjust the level and shade of brightness but the only thing is that the battery doesn’t last too long

This thing is SMALL. Perfect for a cellphone light. But it can be very bright and works perfect for cellphone video at night or to add extra lighting to a vlog.

I was really surprised at the control over the colour and brightness of the light and even more surprised at how bright it was.

Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und die Videoleuchte kam in unbeschädigter Transportverpackung an.Zur Helligkeit: Wer Wunder von diesem kleinen Begleiter erwartet, zum Beispiel daß er ganze Bühnen ausleuchtet, der hat seine Hausaufgaben nicht gemacht. Für größere Räume ist dieses Leuchtmittel nicht gedacht. Ich nutze sie für das Extra an Licht bei Videokonferenzen und zur Ausleuchtung bei Produkt-, Modell- und Dioramenfotografie. Und da wird es dann spannend. Dank des breiten Spektrums an Lichtstärke und -schärfe ist sie in diesem Mittel- und Nahbereich eine perfekte, preisgünstige Alternative.Zur Leuchtdauer: Bei voller Leistung lieferte sie mir ein klein wenig länger als angegeben benötigtes Licht. Den Dauertest bei 3200k und 10% Leistung brach ich nach 12 Stunden ab - von den vier Ladeanzeige-leds waren noch immer drei zu sehen. Bei voller Leistung und 5600k lieferte sie 2:47h Leuchtleistung, also 2,78h. Dabei wurde sie dann aber auch spürbar warm.Zur Ladedauer: Da stimmt die angegebene Dauer von 2,6 Stunden; meine wollte nach 2:36 Minuten nicht weiter geladen werden.Pro's: Drei zusätzliche Kaltschuhe an der Lampe lassen verschiedene Kombinationen zu. Für mich die interessanteste: Das Zusatzmikrofon hängt durch die Montage auf der Lampe oben nicht mehr im Bild des Camcorders ohne zu Trics und Kniffen greifen zu müssen.Zusätzlich ist der recht günstige Anschaffungspreis ein Grund mehr, für o.a. Einsatzzwecke diese Lampe anzuschaffen.Cons: Eigentlich so keine. Für meine Einsatzzwecke die absolut richtige Wahl. Zum Thema Haltbarkeit kann natürlich nach nur wenigen Tagen Gebrauch noch keine Aussage getroffen werden.Fazit: Anschaffenswert. Ich überlege in der Tat, mir für meine Nikon ebenfalls ein solches Lichtlein zuzulegen um beständiges (und daher ggf. materialermüdendes) Ummontieren zu vermeiden.
