The thinnest of thin brittle plastic with a chintzy metal gripper ring at the top - dolls don't slump but still fall over. Honestly fifty cents worth of material. Ordered eight (4 pkgs of 2) and 50% of them were missing the top part to hold the doll. Utter waste of money but the other available options of wood and metal stands are really expensive.

Stand works perfectly. doll doesn't entirely touch the base, but that's not a problem. One problem I did have is the plastic pieces on the ends of the waist holder coming off. While putting it around her waist, the pieces came flying off and I lost one of them for the holder so I had to use the other so the metal wouldn't poke a hole in the dolls jacket. Other than that, I really like the stand!

I purchased these stands to use with my 7 year old granddaughter's American Girl dolls. It is difficult to get the dolls positioned in the stand. That is of no concern when it becomes apparent that the stands are so flimsy there is no way they can support an American Girl doll. These stands are a total rip off.

this stand was perfect for the crocheted figure I wanted to display..easily adjustable and sturdy enough for a lightweight project..love it!

It wasn't delivered to the right house... Made really cheap not very strong at all
