The mesh pocket in the admin section is 8" wide by 4" deep.

Q: I operate in a very wet environment. Is the bag waterproof? If it is not what cover would you recommend. Thanks.

I don't think it's "water proof", but it will repell some light rain. If your on a budget, use a small trash bag to cover when it rains. Other than that, a medium size waterproof backpack cover will do.
