Actually Very Pleasing to Use
I am not one of those spec experts who demand the best glasses to take so-so photos. I actually feel pretty good about this lens. It's not the best for sharpness but it's moody and creamy. Love the silent clicks of the aperture ring.Overall it's a decent manual budget 50mm with a handsome look.

Beware, not much contrast in picture quality. But fun lens!
The media could not be loaded. If you're new to manual lens photography, this lens is enjoyable to use. The dials and rings feel mechanical and satisfying. Yet, when the lighting gets tricky, it struggles to produce sharp, contrasting images. Still, it's a fun one to experiment with overall.

Not the best, TT artisan
It is immensely hard to get a crisp photo. Though the size is very nice and it is very compact, you need to be very in tune to make it sharp. I feel like TT artisan could have done quite a bit better with this lens.

Best bang for your buck lens ever made.
This lens isn't perfect, but wow is it amazing for the price. At f/2 it's perfectly usable, but not amazing. But at f/4 to f/8 in controlled lighting it's Very usable, even for professional work. I'd love to see a further lineup of similar lenses from TTartisan, like a 24, 35 and 85 f/2 ... but maybe I'm hoping for too much ;)

Disappointed.
I’m not sure if I got a bad copy but this lens is a dub.Overblown highlights no matter what I do.The focus full may faulty. Doesn’t feel smooth compared to my other TTartisan lenses.Scale focusing is way off, especially with infinity.Very disappointed. Thought this would be my daily carry but way too many issues to be usable.

Deceptive Product Title.
The build quality is good and it does take good photos, but it is NOT a full frame lens. It works on full frame cameras with the apc mode on, but that kinda defeats the purpose of having a full frame camera. If you have an APC Sony camera it’s a good lens for the money. But don’t buy it if you have a full frame camera.

Great value - not perfect, but good for the money.
This was my first manual focus lens - and I was quite impressed. Build quality is excellent. I got some great sharp shots out of it.No, it will not outperform higher quality lenses - but for the money, hard to beat.
