100% Mulberry Queen Silk Yarn 50 Gram 3 Ply Lace Weight Popsicle QS003 Lot I Cone or Hank

Since I have never had or worked with silk yarn before, I have nothing to compare this yarn to. But, I was expecting more sheen, silkier feeling and to be smoother than it is. It is also staining my fingers. It is knitting up fine and the color is pretty but the fabric feels more like a cotton.Wanted to add that I had ordered 2 cones and one was more pink and the other more orange. It will look fine though since I am knitting a Lace pattern but just wanted others to know.P.S. Wanted to come back after finishing my project to say that after blocking my scarf feels soft and drapes nicely. Still maybe not quite as much sheen as I was expecting but it turned out very nice. I am very happy with this yarn and would purchase again.

This yarn is a joy to work with! I knitted a beaded lace shawl with just under 100 grams (see photo). The colors are lovely, and the sheen and drape are fantastic. There were a couple of knots and a good bit of fluff that needed to be pulled off as I knitted, but nothing to make me even consider giving less than five stars. I've used quite a few yarns over my knitting years, and this has to be one of the nicest to work with. It's tightly twisted, so splitting isn't an issue like it is with so many lace weight yarns. I've already ordered more from this seller (on another site), and have plans for many more projects using this yarn.
