This thing is great and allows for one handed hempwicking. It is not industrial strength. It's two pieces of light plastic screwed together. I wouldn't carry it in my pocket and I can't see it withstanding much of a drop. This doesn't bother me because I leave it in my garage. I haven't had any trouble, after a few days of regular use, with the little pipe piece getting clogged with ash or wax. I am mindful to push the wick back out as soon as it goes out though.The wick that comes with it is fine. Don't notice any bad flavor, much wax dripping, or anything. It works great and it comes with a full roll installed AND a spare one in the package.The one thing is that I bought the black one because it was black and gold in the picture and when it came it was just like the others, solid black, silver tube. That was just a bit disappointing.I would recommend this to someone who is not going to be taking it everywhere with them. If you are, I could see its lifespan being very short.

Good product... worth the price. Get extra hemp when you purchase it so that, depending on your smoking habits, you don't have to order more right away.The hemp leaves some residue in the little tube so occasional cleaning prevents the little string from bunching up at the entrance and fraying. The lid over the hemp chamber is ok but you have to be careful that it does not pin the string or restrict its passage. These are all nit-picks that come from use. On the whole it is much preferable to matches or a butane lighter in my estimation. Once you get the knack of keeping the flame small and confined to the end of the hemp string then you can achieve a uniform light across the face of the tobacco without scorching the pipe wall. It's not rocket science but it takes a bit of attention at first.Nice product... good price.

One of my favorite smoking gadgets ever! For some reason I can’t seem to corner my bowls to save my life, this helps a lot!It’s easy to use, lightweight and not overly bulky. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s so extra and completely unnecessary but it’s not inconvenient to carry around or anything.If I had to pick a downside it would be that you have to clean the little metal tube the wick comes out of from time to time otherwise it’s get stuck and bunches up because of the wick residue that gets in there. All in all, I love it and I think it’s a neat little tool I’ll definitely be buying more if I ever lose or break this one!

After trying different ways to use hemp wick...this is by FAR the best one. I had a similar item and while it had a "spool" to wind more wick on it did not work as well. There was no "wheel" to advance or retract the wick.Cons:The only con is winding the wick so it will dispense easily. I have to presume I'm missing something however, it is not a deal breaker.I wasn't fond of the provided hemp wick-so I used my own bee lasso which is the best!Herb tastes so much better using wick, and having the mini bic lighter in the case eliminates the need to "find the lighter". It's worth the price.

I got this for one of my friends to use who's always complaining about breathing in fumes from the lighter (but refuses to use F'n match). It's a pretty cool concept & easy to use, sometimes the wick will come off the wheel simplest thing in the world to put back on (all though said friend at this point will usually say F'it & just use the lighter).

Brilliant idea! I just wish they designed the cap to be more sturdy. It looks like overtime opening and closing will eventually lead to breakage. As for the hemp wick, it’s thin and burns too fast. I would just buy a thicker wick. Overall this does make life a lot easier though.

This lighter is awesome. This is my first experience with a wick lighter and I can really taste the difference. No more sucking butane. I comes with a pre-loaded spool of wick and a couple of spares, nice! I elected to buy a larger 200' roll of the wick because its significantly cheaper than the pre-wound spools, and I believe that I can make my own spools without too much effort.

Works fantastic , the wheel feeds the wick while you are smoking and need more wick , and adjusting it like that lets you adjust flame . Read reviews were people said its flimsy but mine is fine and I only use it for indoor use anyway so its no problem. Build sturdy enough and very well designed. So happy with it - hemp wick lets you taste nothing but what your smoking !
