Sure, just don't put the knife block near the sink...but have you ever lived in a tiny, overpriced studio? Every square inch matters! Nevertheless, I was happy to find an affordable replacement from a known brand that seems quite durable. This time, I coated the bottom with some water seal and placed a Swedish dish rag underneath. This knife blocks works perfectly for my paring knife set. Looks great on the countertop. Not super big so it saves space, cuz no one ever has enough counter space! Highly recommend!

I looked everywhere until l found this item on line

I bought this block to get my most frequently used knives out of a drawer and onto the kitchen counter where they will be more accessible. The problem is that the block isn't tall enough to properly hold a 9" bread knife, and there are no slots long enough to fit even a 5" santoku. Doesn't every home chef need a santoku? There are, however, slots for the less frequently used sharpening steel, scissors, and steak knives. Oh, well... better than nothing, I suppose.

this product is VERY sturdy & has tons of storage space. it fit all my knives & scissors and i only had 1 small soduko knife left in my drawer for everyday use. i am now able to store more utensils in my drawers and not have to worry about getting cut by a knife every time i reach into my drawer for a different utensil. this will keep me more organized & keep me from losing things. everything is now on the counter and right at my fingertips so no more searching for the right knife in the utensil drawer. LOVE IT!!

This butcher block fits well against the backsplash in my kitchen. It stands vertical and is not on a slant like my other butcher block which is on the island and takes up much more room than this one. I keep, six steak knives in the bottom row, and in the top front row, I have a paring knife, a boning knife and 5 1/2 utility knife. In the top back row there is a wooden spoon, an 8 inch chef's knife, a 6 inch utility knife and a pair of scissors. I love the wood, rubberwood, which is a light creamy colour. I looked it up on the internet and rubberwood is from the rubber tree. It is one of the hardest woods. It is a renewable product and looks very smart and modern. I love to cook and need sharp knives. I recently got two new knives so I bought this for myself and I'm very happy I did. Well worth what I paid for it.
