I like this unit as it takes thicker knives. The first unit I purchased had such narrow slots I could not sharpen my fishing knife - the blade was too thick. I found this to be a good unit to keep in the garage for a quick touch-up on knives I use out there. I ended up, after trying many, purchasing an electric sharpener, which I love. That gets the knives good and sharp and this unit keeps them that way for many uses.

This knife sharpener works great. I used to use the knife sharpener steel (stick like) but always afraid it will hurt my finger. No more worry when I use this little sharpener. I just move the knife serval rounds in the coarse slot and then couple rounds in the fine slot and my knife is ready to cut bones again. Nice product and it's worth to be kept in the kitchen.

I used this sharpener on a blade that had never been sharpened in the 10+ years that I've owned it. A few swipes through the sharpener's grooves and my knife cuts like new!

I would not even take it for free!!

Very nice sharpener, I like the two slot choice. Some of my knives take a lot of damage as I use them for tools quite often so having a course choice is a plus.
