Selected for an accent in an oversized bookcase to lighten up one of the shelves. The bulb itself is pretty, lit or not, with the cracked crystal look. When illuminated, star shadows are projected on the sides and back of the wood encasing the shelf which was an unexpected surprise and an added dimension of fun! The gold moon and base cradling the orb are nice: not a gaudy-looking metal. If only it had a timer or remote, however the on/off switch on the bottom seems sturdy and is easily accessible. Nice enough to gift.

Horrible quality—looked extremely cheap and tacky, like something you'd see in the dollar bin. Didn't expect much for the price, but this feels like a kid's toy. Don't waste your money.

I purchased this as a gift. When it arrived I opened the package and was shocked that it left the warehouse like it was. Dented, rough texture on the paint, and light was broken. Box was in perfect shape so it didn't happen in transit. Very disappointed. Had high hopes from all of the 5 star reviews, wasn't the case. Returned.
