This is a fairly accurate,beautifully crafted mini replica of a T-Rex skull, including bones of the hard palate, vomer etc. I had it shown to an expert on such matters, that's how I know about the accuracy. Now - about the delivery, that's a saga in itself! Thanks to 'The Global Genie' for delivering it to me in an intact state, after an earlier attempt (by a different seller) had failed - the item had arrived in 4-5 broken parts!. The return, reordering, refunding and final delivery took a month, many phone calls (to and from amazon), and some anxiety on my part. Amazon had messed up the pick up of the previous order (the broken one) badly, so that two pick up 'challans' were issued. One of these got cancelled, and in the confusion - even though the return was picked up the very next day - I was being continually shown on my order page that no pick up had happened! Having said that, Amazon always assured me that a pick up did take place. For those wishing to order it - the item is a fine work of art but delicate, and the inner packaging is flimsy. So it may arrive in a broken state, unless your seller is extra-careful. They need to ensure that it has survived international transit, provide proper outer packaging, and then find a responsible courier to send it to you. Those wishing to return it (rather than trying to glue the parts), should only go for a 'return' and not 'replacement' - even if the amazon interface offers that option to you (like it did to me). The item is imported from the US (with a made in China label) and one-to-one replacement will not happen. You will have to reorder it, and process the refund of the previous, returned item separately. During this time, the price may increase/decrease, or if you go for a different seller (as had happened in my case, because I was disappointed in the previous one) the cost may be higher. I badly needed it for a gift, was time bound, hence had to reorder it before receiving the refund. By the way, do take a video of the unpacking in case its needed for return/refund. But all's well that ends well, and amazon did issue me the refund after a couple of weeks. The reordered item was delivered a few days later - with good outer packaging (as promised by the seller when I communicated my worry to them). Now I can sit and happily appreciate this most extraordinarily crafted resin t-rex skull model, and wonder about the turbulent life of those ancient giants from millions of years ago!

I'll be making a terrarium with this. This is perfect for my intentions.

This dinosaur skull is such a fun and realistic piece! When my 6-year-old opened it, he immediately said it “even smells like dirt, so it must be real” — which pretty much says it all. The detail is impressive and it looks great whether it’s used for imaginative play or displayed on a shelf. It feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy, and it’s been holding up well to curious hands. It sparked a lot of pretend play and dinosaur conversations, which is always a win in our house. If you have a kid who loves dinosaurs, this is a fantastic gift and feels way more realistic than expected.
