All Good People Here: A Novel

Excellent Small Town Mystery
All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers is the perfect small-town mystery. I was insanely invested in this story and wanted so bad for there to be some kind of big revelation so when I got to the end, I was a little let down. Too much is left open for speculation. HOWEVER, I sat on my thoughts for a few hours before writing up my review and I have to say I LOVE how this book ended. All the buildup from the story still weighs heavily on me but when I put it in perspective, it comes off as REAL. Not every case will be wrapped up in a pretty bow with answers to all the questions we have. Perhaps more things will come to light later down the road (and maybe even another book?) and perhaps not. But that is REAL crime so this book, while frustrating in that aspect, really made it stand out to me over other mysteries I’ve read. All in all, I loved this one! I can see why it’s been so popular among thriller fans, and I can also see why people may not have loved it. The book is extremely detail oriented, suspenseful, and intriguing for those who enjoy a book that deals with true crime cases. However, it doesn’t have a perfect ending which will leave some readers feeling annoyed. Either way, I do recommend and am crossing my fingers that the author continues to write because I’m a fan!𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙❥ Small Town Mysteries❥ Murder Mysteries❥ Cold case type books with shocking twists and turns𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Whoa!
Wow! This book is wonderfully written and holds your attention from start to finish! I have listened to the Crime Junkies podcast for about a year now and I've loved listening to Ashley tell the stories of the real crime stories but I had NO idea she was capable of writing such a gripping book! She's an excellent story teller and if you aren't already a Crime Junkie, I recommend you become one! Grab this book as soon as possible, you won't be disappointed!

Lots of twists and turns!
I really enjoyed this book, and the number of twists and turns kept me guessing right alongside the protagonist. SPOILER - the ending is a bit unsatisfying, as there isn’t really closure for what happens to the main character, but it didn’t ruin the book for me like it did for some people. Overall, it was a well written book with a solid plot. I recommend it if you like murder mysteries or are interested in the Job Benet Ramsey case - there are a lot of parallels.

Great Story
I was really involved with this story. Read on Kindle every free time I had. It was intriguing!Only question I have is what actually happened to Margot at the end? It does not tell us. Maybe that’s part of the mystery?

An excellent thriller
I knew Ashley’s first book would be outstanding, as all of her other work is. This was one of those books that kept you wanting to know what happens next. It had just the right amount of thriller twists & turns. But it also left some open questions, so I am hopeful that Ashley is working on a sequel.

A smooth read!
I think everyone read this ages ago but I was taking a break from the crime thriller genre.Kept me guessing and interested.Took off one star because I'm not sure how I feel about the ending?I literally just finished one minute ago, so I might come back to add the fifth star once I mull it over.Would recommend. I hope the author has other books that are just as good!

10/10 This book amazed me!!!
I will start out with: this book has you thinking you know everything and turns around and shows you that you know NOTHING! It took me a while to finish this book, but I decided I couldn’t give up on it, but don’t get me wrong it didn’t start out slow or boring. This book started out great and continued to keep you hooked throughout every chapter. I just had low expectations for the book for some reason, I had finished a book before it and didn’t know if this one could compare. I WAS WRONG. I didn’t expect this book to make me feel the way it did. It was really nothing like I have ever read and I had chills running down my spine at the end. This is a must read and I truly loved this book so much!! I haven’t wrote a review before, but I just finished it and my jaw is still dropped and I have goosebumps. This book is dark and takes twists you would never imagine, but it is so well written and you truly feel every emotion possible. I recommend this book if you like dark stories that surround murder and solving a mystery. It truly exceeded my expectations and I am grateful I finished it!!!

good book. but needed more
I was hooked on this book from the first chapter. I couldn’t put it down. Everything I though I knew who the killer was I was proven wrong. However, I feel like there need to be more to the book. It just sort of ended in the middle of the story. Very depressing.

Good read but inspiration for plot is obvious
So I’m a big CJ and Ashley Flowers fan. While I do think the book is worth reading, I do want to share my critical feedback…Ashley did a great job - writing your first book is now easy feat. It does read however like someone’s first book. Style, flow, and language have an inexperienced air throughout. If you’ve read the fictional book Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (fantastic book btw) you’ll be reminded of it through your AGPH. Disappointingly so. It’s hard not to see the similarities - throw in some Jonbenet Ramsay inspiration and this is basically this book.So while it’s easy to see where a lot of the major ideas came from, it does make a compelling read and I did read it all in two days and was drawn in. There are several twists- some predictable and out of nowhere. Predictable maybe if you are a crime junkie at heart. I also don’t know if I love or hate the ending. One beef I have is that the inner jacket description of the book doesn’t match the plot entirely. “But the police, Natalie’s family, the townspeople, they all seem to be hiding something.” Natalie’s family is like, not in the book at all. I really thought there would be more about her case but it really is just a blip in the plot. The description says Margot digs into Natalie’s disappearance but she doesn’t really at all. It’s all about January.Otherwise I’m happy I read this, I’d been looking forward to the release. But these were my pain points with it.

Slightly disappointing end
I did enjoy this but at times felt and bit forced and was disappointed in the ending.Worth a read if your looking to pass some time
