I'm very impressed by these heat resistant grill/oven gloves! The Ove Glove was my favorite product, something I considered a kitchen essential - so much so that besides having an "in use" pair and a "back-up" pair myself, I've given my sister and best friend Ove Gloves in the past. So it's a pretty big deal to me that, in my opinion, these oven gloves are superior. As with Ove Gloves, your hands are completely protected and your fingers have total freedom of movement, giving you a much better grip on hot pans than you have with a pot holder. The manufacturer states that these gloves provide protection from heat up to 932 degrees F, whereas the Ove Glove is rated for 540 degrees F. The cuffs on these gloves are longer, so more of your wrist is protected. I don't know about you, but I've grazed my wrist on the searing hot rack many a time as I've reached into the oven to retrieve a pan, so I appreciate the extra coverage. Finally, these gloves are priced at approximately half the cost of a pair of Ove Gloves. All in all, I think these heat resistant grill/oven gloves are a great value! Can you give this 6 stars???? I was so sick of using fabric or even silicone pot holders to remove things from the oven and getting burned or having the heat penetrate the padded fabric ones. These heat resistant gloves are an absolute miracle. The one size fits all it an absolute truth. I have the smaller hands in the family and even though there is still room at the tips of the fingers it in no ways interferes with it's function. The gloves are universal in the fact that either glove will fit each hand. There is no designated left or right. The are a nice heavy weight and come up to the middle of my arm. The arm bad it nice and tight. The finger portion of the glove are covered on both sides with silicon dots that help when you are trying to get a grip on anything hot coming out of the oven. The wrist and arm part is multi layered and fits snug around the arm. We have used these inside and also outside while grilling. Because they go up pretty high on your arm, you feel less of the heat from the hot grill. I've spot cleaned them a few times and they clean up really well. Soap and water doesn't affect the silicon dots. These will replace all the junky stuff I have next to my oven. The gloves remind me a lot of another popular brand’s gloves. They don’t have a snug fit however they have an universal fit. Everyone in my household can use these gloves because they don’t fit a specific hand size. They don’t feel too big nor do they feel like they will slip off. The wristband fits snuggly on my wrists as to keep the gloves secure on my hands. The bulkiness of the glove is from the insulation that protects the hands from any burns. The circle grips are on both sides of each glove. They help grip the dishes and pans that come out of the microwave and oven. They protect my hands and wrists from the heat and from any burns. They extend from my hands to about half way up my forearm. They aren’t effective when they get wet so it’s ideal to keep them dry. The gloves are easy to clean, I have spot cleaned them as well as I have thrown them in the washing machine and haven’t had any problems with the silicon dots falling off. The dots make the gloves unique because most gloves that I have seen are ones with lines. There is a lifetime guarantee so hopefully the gloves will last years before needing replacing. They seem to be just as efficient and they have very similar quality to other protective gloves. I would recommend the gloves. These gloves worked great with my BBQ grill. My grill gets very hot from the front to the back of the grill. The flames runs vertical so when I reach for the food in the back my hand usually get very hot and I have to quick grab or flip the food quickly or I'll get burnt. With these gloves I can comfortably work my food without getting burnt. These groves are a hand saver. I would not touch any flames directly with the groves but it can withstand high heat. Your hands will sweat if you leave them over the heat after a while but they will not get burnt. The cuffs on these groves are longer than other similar groves I've tried so they will protect more of your hand and forearm. The rubber dimples on the gloves helps you grip whatever you want to hold. The lining is thick and soft. I am sure they are great in the kitchen also but I solely use them for my grill. If you grill a lot this is something you definitely need. These gloves are advertised for 932 degrees but I have a different set of gloves that are rated for only 662 degrees and they feel the same to me over high heat. It loses a star for over stating heat protection. I rate it a 4 star.
