Sam's Ball

Sent to my grandson.

This book is one of the Sam books by Barbro Lindgren. One of these books was my sons favorite books when he was very little and helped him to learn how to read so when he and his wife had their little baby boy I bought my grandson two of these books to get his little library started. Great books.

A little known series, these wonderful books are now out of print. Sam is a precocious toddler to whom children can relate. Simple, funny, and endearing, the adventures of Sam and his little dog are a must for every book shelf. Copies are in good condition are rare and rather pricey.

I think of this book series as a must have for the 1-2 year olds in my life. There is just something about the simple text and expressive pictures that they can relate to. In each book Sam has some kind of trouble that is made better in the end. Toddlers find them facinating and comforting. And yes, they will ask you to read them over and over (the ultimate sign of a good book).

I love these Sam books. I read them to my kids and now am happy to have some to read to the grandkids. They are simple and yet funny.

Simple language, few words, adorable clear illustrations, and very funny, just right for my special needs seven year old.

I've had two toddler boys read this book now and they both love it! I enjoy reading the story because the words are simple, but the pictures and story are very entertaining. They catch on very quickly to the story and "read" it to me. I hope someone reprints these. This series is a real gem!

This is a beloved book of our family. Growing up with pets our children could identify with these little stories. I bought an extra copy for my collection. The illustrations are so beautifully sweet. We have the entire series. Just beautiful.
