Purchased for video production. The build quality is light but good. I was skeptical the 8-10lb cotton muslin would actually be held up by the background wanna be c-stands, but it holds it really well. I only wish it were about 4 feet wider. Chroma green, white and black are the three included backgrounds. The bulbs included tested to about a 96CRI and are a bit dim but serviceable. All in all a great starter kit, but I would have liked to have the option for replacing the umbrella reflectors for two more softboxes. Sorry about the crappy pic, but my DSLR is in the shop...April 2021 UpdateStill going strong, only one issue. One of the umbrella thumb screws stripped out the threads, but gaff tape to the rescue! ALso wash the muslin ONE AT A TIME! I actually recommend dry cleaning the chroma green. If you can't, use the basic All brand pod. Works great in a pinch.

Searched online a lot, read almost all reviews before I made my purchasing decision. I am happy that I didnt change my mind for another brand. Quality is awesome. For the price you pay, you are getting at least 3 times worth of product. Durable and strong.ONLY REASON I GAVE 4 STAR BUT NOT 5: In almost all the responses to negative feedbacks you will see this guy Mike’s statements. So I contacted him to ask about the product, I told him about the customers complains about FIRE RISK, yes you read it correct, FIRE RISK, he had no idea about those complains. I was shocked. How comes a person, who has been in charge of this brand’s customer service doesnt know about such an important concern? This is a safety concern. Please!

This is really a basic set for very simple photography, with all the component parts being cheap quality. The backdrop stand is of very thin bars and slow to ease up because you essentially have to either stairstep each side up or always have a chair handy. The crossbar itself for hanging backdrops is not strong enough to support its length so it sags in the middle even with the cloth provided, even more so with any better quality backdrops that are heavier. Speaking of the cloth provided, it is basic cotton muslin cloth so it wrinkles exceptionally easily and is see-though when using lighting, and using lighting is kind of the whole point. Speaking of the lighting, the lights are at least basic decent lights, though again I wish I'd rather just started investing in building a stock of high-quality lights. All in all not bad if you're not planning to do serious photography, or if you need a travel setup that breaks down and fits into a couple of bags, but if you have any ambitions to do any actual photography buy a better set.

Let me start by pointing out that my uploaded picture doesn't show the entire length of the backdrop. Yea, really it's HUGE. Also, there is an open window with sunlight coming in on the left of frame.Now then, I love this kit. Exactly what I hoped for. This is my 3rd Neweer product, and they hit the quality/price point ratio spot on in my opinion. I hope people understand that studio equipment is NOT cheap, and portable (yea it really is) gear like this is naturally going to be lighter/thinner metals and so on. Reviewers that are complaining about durability should keep this in mind. Don't expect steel for $200. Also, check out how expensive huge backdrops can be just by themselves. If you understand these elements, I think you'll see the value here.The lighting looks great, the backdrops are massive and color graded well, and it all packs up nicely. This kit is a good bet for sure.

Bought this for use as an auxiliary setup at our studio. It's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for", the included CFL bulbs are a little weak for legitimate lighting work and one of the stands for the backdrop arrived broken out of the box. This is definitely great for a "set and forget" type environment, because despite the carrying cases I don't see this kit lasting through a number of set-ups and tear-downs. That being said, their customer service was incredibly responsive and shipped us a new stand quickly with almost no questions asked! This is not a prog-grade kit but for a beginner/hobbyist/vlogger who's looking to dabble with a set setup there's a lot of bang for your buck here!

Very nice. The only problem is that one of the umbrella bulbs never worked; I was disappointed because I realized that soon after assembling everything and the video recording was happening moments after that and I did not have time to go buy a replacement.

I was worried after reading bad reviews on all these sets, but was pleasantly surprised by what I got. For the $, it’s great. Large frame raises higher than you need for people of standard height. It might be a little light duty for the width, but with the drape spread out it doesn’t sag. The backdrops have pole pockets, nice surprise, & are heavy. All in good shape, packed well, easy to assemble.

Amazing value - very compact and light (heaviest part is the 3 cloth screens). Perfect for doing travel/on location studio shots. Looks professional - clients were impressed when I set it ip on site. Very happy with purchase. Lights are a little dim - bought 4 bulb splitters and an extra set of bulbs to double to the effective wattage of the included lights. Could use some more clamps for making the cloth/screen pulled tightly to the sides. Purchased a travel steamer to remove wrinkles on screen/cloth that are unavoidable.

This is a really good starter product and worth the money. I would have given it a five but there were no assembly instructions which, given the many parts, is extremely frustrating. Now that I finally have it assembled, I am pleased with the purchase.

It's not bad for beginners. The lights are not bright at all. I already own a ring light by neewer so I just use that and it works so much better than these lights that came with this set up. Overall very easy to assemble and good for the price.

Such a GREAT kit! New to the photography world but this is by far an amazing purchase.It was packaged so well that I was both impressed and tired by the time I was done taking it all out lol.Doesn’t come with many instructions, but you can figure it out without problem.Love the carrying bags and the shipping was so quick and easy. Love everything about it and I’m happy to have made the choice to buy.

J'ai acheté cet ensemble pour me faire un studio maison. Considérant le prix, je n'ai vraiment pas à me plaindre.Bon ensemble de départ qui permet d'évaluer ses besoins sans se ruiner. Je pense cependant que c'est du matériel à utiliser avec précaution si on souhaite le conserver longtemps. Si on souhaite le transporter avec soi, je pense que ça serait hasardeux et pas certain que les parapluies et les softbox dureraient longtemps.
