Works as promised, I am pleased with my purchase.
Pleased with this device and it has helped keep the air a bit cleaner. On low and medium settings it's very quiet and you can bareley notice it's running. High setting is definitely a bit louder and noticable which is to be expected, but I run mine on "auto" and it very rarely ever runs on high. Filters are reasonable and I would recommend this item to anyone considering an air purifier purchase. Item arrived on time and well packaged.

Honeywell never fails to please me for its quality
This Honeywell product works just like a Honeywell should, clean, quiet and efficient. I go with HW all the time since they are an old established company and know to last with very good Customer Service, I called them just to see they are still on task. The air is cleaner and smells much fresher. I have a HW humidifier and soon a dehumidifier come summertime.

Great product!
Love this product! I gave away my old one when I moved after having it 6 years running non-stop and still worked like new! This newer design looks really cool and replacement filters are affordable. Keeps my home air fresh & clean all year long.

Loud low-pitch hum ruins otherwise great air purifier
I had a prrevious model, the HPA 100, for my daughter's bedroom and it worked out really well. I went with Honeywell because it seemed to have good features without creating ozone which was important for me. I decided that I wanted to get a bigger one for the basement too. Lo and behold there was a new version available. But unfortunately I had already ordered the old version the HPA 300. I decided to make the best of the situation and compare the two models. The new version is a little slicker looking, though, the clear plastic portion looks a little cheesy / will probably be prone to scratches. It is also a bit more efficient. However, the older model actually may cost less money to run because it uses less electricity / is smaller. The real sticking point, though, was the low-level hum that this unit and the bigger models emited. It seems that the actual fan noise might be a little bit lower, and maybe I am just not used to this particular frequency of noise, but I just couldn't get over it. I also tested the noise volume between the new model and old model with a DB app and it did confirm that the new model was about 5 dB louder. This is in no way a scientific comparison, but it confirmed my anecdotal feelings about it. I have lots of fans, and music products, and none of them emit a hum like this. I usually associate a hum like this with some sort of grounding issue. Ultimately, I was disappointed and I returned it.

4 months and going strong
I prefer simpler models, but gave this modern one a try. Simple models just have a fan and a physical toggle switch. This one has whizzy LEDs and soft-touch digital lights, but does it stylishly enough. Still, just a motor and filter are what I want. But it works, and a powerstrip will take care of any desire for a physical toggle switch. Air flow feels strong at setting 3 (highest without turbo), and runs almost as loud as the unit replacing it (also at setting 3 out of 4 choices). So for airflow and noise, this is awesome. No weird noises of goofy chunks yet! Turbo is more powerful than the old unit (comparable size too). Cat hair is caught in the prefilter so I know this is definitely doing its job! Size is perfect for what it needs to do. Weight too is pretty good for size and bulk. The noise emitted works as "white noise", which can be relaxing to induce sleep with. People with allergies will appreciate this too between seasons. No setting change randomly and there's no air quality sensor that's half-useless too. There are no ozone gimmicks to be found in this. Avoiding ozone is a MUST if you have pets, especially parrots. As some units automatically turn it on when the unit is powered on and theres an outage, that can be bad news. Definitely happy with this unit and am buying another.

Air Filter
After 30 days all is well, working as intended. Unit runs quiet, kicks up now and then as it filters higher particulate counts. I like it!

Super quiet. High quality. Removes all mold and dust and other smells very well.
Surprisingly quiet on lowest setting for the huge amount of airflow. Its large and has a little weight, you can feel the quality. I highly recommend the optional, official Honeywell HRFSS1 charcoal filters. The air quality is drastically improved and there is zero smell using the official Honeywell filters (other cheap copycat filters DO have chemical smells that they are supposed to remove lol). Super easy to use, improved my sleep quality from not having as much allergies during the night. This is NOT a small toy air filter, this is serious business.

Upgraded from older models and a superb upgrade
We are replacing older Honeywell units after many years on uninterrupted service. We have ordered the largest unit HPA 5300B for our living room and another size down HPA5200 from this unit. The older units were round, large and somewhat noisy and the newer units are aesthetically pleasing, like an attractive piece of furniture. The pluses here are the Hepa filters are all the same for all sizes for all air purifiers under the Honeywell Insight series. Before these newer units, each Hepa filter were independent sizes and very costly. The largest of the newer units, HPA 5200B takes three Hepa filters and the next size down, HPA 5200, uses only two of the same Hepa filters. You can buy these Hepa filters "R" in small or larger groups so save money. The "A" pre-charcoal filters come in large sheets per unit size and can be ordered in groups to also save money. The ease of use is clear and concise. Buttons you push to change speeds. There is even a projection of speeds against a clear plastic border around the top the unit to permit easy visual of the speed and filter cleanliness. Easy to lift and use, much lighter and less cumbersome from the old design and units. 50 % less noisy than older units except when on high. All previous and current units make a bit of noise on high. We did our research and though skeptical at first, after we ordered the larger unit HPA 5300B, we ordered a second smaller unit. HPA 5200. Coolest thing when registering the unit with Honeywell, they only ask for a number code on the plug of the unit. That is the serial number. Takeaways: 1. Upgraded, quieter than previous models 2. Filters are interchangeable depending on unit size. That is huge and filters are a snap to replace 3. Blends in with furnishings 4. Value for the product 5. Easier to lift than previous models 6. Considerable differences in design vs previous models for the better 7. A value all around, including dusting less and cleaner air 8. NO odor and perfect for my asthma and allergies
