ro: receiver output, re: receiver enable, de: driver enable, di: driver input, all TTL logic level signals. vvc is 5V, gnd is ground, A & B are the differential serial lines

Q: Which resistor do I clip out to eliminate the terminating resistor?

That will be the one marked R7 (120 ohms) which needs to be removed for all drivers except the two on each end of the cable run. There are many images showing this if you Google for "Max485 Chip RS-485 Module".
