Unfortunately, I wish I could give this product ZERO stars as it will not keep your pet safe on a walk after a few months of use. I do not recommend this leash for large dogs who like to pull (ie. Siberian Husky, Huskies, etc.). The first leash I purchased was for my 9 month old Husky/Saluki mix, who was only 45lbs at the time. After just 5 months, the spring mechanism on the clip that hooks the leash to the dog's harness broke off completely. I sent Primal Gear a message on Amazon, and they quickly responded, apologized, and sent a brand new leash out (no complaints on their customer service!). The owner of Primal Gear also assured me that they recently changed suppliers for the clips the prior month, so I felt confident again to try this leash out. But here I am again, a little over 5 months later (almost the exact same time frame) and the spring broke AGAIN and the clip completely came off my dogs harness, this time while I was walking BOTH my Huskies (and if anyone knows anything about Huskies, when they get off the leash, they are RUNNERS!). I just cannot recommend a product that, unfortunately, will NOT keep your dog safe while outdoors and on a walk. I am just VERY lucky that both times this leash broke, I was not walking near busy streets and there were a lot of people around to help grab my dogs once the leash broke. :(

I've spent hundreds of dollars on collar/leash sets for my my doggie over the years and have tried many brands. I've recently become the temporary dog mom to two more dogs...side note: one dog is ideal, two dogs are manageable and three dogs are just insane. So the two new dogs are avid pullers and actually broke the clasp of a leash. Kong is pretty good with durable leashes and the padding is nice but $30 x 2 is not in my budget at the moment. This leash is just as durable and more comfy than the kong traffic leash in my opinion and half the cost.I walk three dogs twice a day for a total of four miles. My hands were beginning to ache because the nylon and (knots to shorten the leashes) from the previous leashes were killing my hands.This is day two and after eight miles I literally heard my hands say thank you!

This is the best leash ever! I have a 60lb pit mix that has (had) a pulling problem. I went to training with him and our trainer had me use a Gentle Leader collar with a 6ft leash. What a difference that made...However, when I DO need to correct him with a quick yank and that "tsst" sound (you know the one - you always hear Cesar Milan do it on his shows) I wasn't always able to execute the correction as swiftly and with as much force as I needed to (and like my trainer could) all due to the lack of strength in my left arm. I was always having to wrap the lease around my left hand close to my dog to get a firmer grip. This would hurt my hand, and honestly wasn't very comfortable to walk that way. I kept saying "I wish I had a leash with two handles" and then decided to search for one since it seemed I can't be the only one that has ever thought that!This leash solves all my issues! I love the extra security it gives me, knowing I have him close when I need it (short handle) and can let him roam and explore when he needs it (like when sniffing out the perfect spot to go). I have NO problems walking him now and can easily correct him when I need to.Plus it also works as a two person leash, allowing me to hold the shorter handle, while my husband holds the farther one, and we get to hold hands in between! I have even used it to train my son how to walk with the dog, with him holding the shorter handle and me holding the longer handle. This way if my son stumbles, I still have control and can jump in.

This is the best leash I’ve bought! It is also the 4th leash and my puppy is only 7 months old. The first two were round rope type leash’s and he chewed through those so fast, even though they claimed to be chew proof. The third one was an “anti pull” guess what? He pulled worse snd chewed it! This one is perfect! He has not chewed it, tried a couple times, but gave up, he walks so well on it. I love the two different handles!!!

This is a just a great leash. Comfortable and extremely sturdy. My dog does not chew leashes so can't rate that but it's very durable. We have a 70lb Bernadoodle and being a puppy, pulling on leash is something we are working on especially when she sees another dog, squirrel, bird or hell even a leaf blowing around.This leash has been great and secure feeling and the double handle is AMAZING for extra control at high traffic areas or anytime you want your dog kept close and in control.We have a few leashes but this is the only one being used now b/c of it's comfort level, ease of use and control it offers my family when walking the dog.

This is the second time I have purchased this leash. The first one got lost in the mud at the horse barn and so I replaced it with the same type of leash. It is good in all types of weather. While I thought I would prefer leather over non-leather leashes, this is one sturdy leash. I have two big dogs and one little. I use this leash on my more difficult dog to control but she is not difficult anymore. When I first got her, she was pretty much uncontrollable because she had been neglected. The two handles are great, especially in the beginning when I had to keep this dog close by. Now, I seldom have to use the shorter handle and this dog has become so much better because she wants to and because this leash allowed me to teach her better manners. I also like how the handles feel on my hands. Just hope this leash does not get lost.

This is a great dog leash. The traffic handle is in a perfect position, especially if using a front connect harness which I normally do with my dogs. Most other leashes with a traffic handle are not easy to use with a front connect harness because the traffic handle is too low on the leash and it is hard to reach, especially if you are tall like I am. The traffic handle on this one is 22” from the connector and is great for getting close control. It works well if I connect to the back of the harness as well. Very pleased with it and I have now bought another one.

This is the second leash of this brand/model we've bought & the first one is now over 4 years old & still in service with one of our dogs. It still looks almost brand new & has been a comfortable & strong leash for a reasonably sized (38kg) dog who likes to pull pretty hard at times.The new leash is for our deaf girl (26kg) & attaches to her harness. She is also quite a strong puller & this leash makes it easy to control her without cutting into your hand or any discomfort at all really. Recommended.

The padded leash is great, comfy and yet strong and sturdy! Great quality product ! The 2 grips make our walks much enjoyable as I do not struggle to control my dog when I want her walking up close next to me ! Am glad I bought this! Highly recommend!

Great leash! Our puppy likes to chew through his leashes - this is one is quite durable, strong and has extra thick material. Easy to hold onto and love that it has two handles - one for shorter leash walking and one for long! We bought two!!

Unfortunately clasp came to me damaged and unable to use. Also the leash is not thick as advertised. Bought this as a replacement for a different leash and quality is night and day with this one being inferior. That being said, I am walking a 85 pound dog. I bought based on ad description. Would be suitable for smaller dog if clasp worked
