Miranda Complete Collection [DVD]

I really like this quirky, witty, sometimes silly, comedy centered on a slightly odd misfit -but lovable- character and her equally whacky friends and family.When I first saw on the TV a few years ago, it took me a few episodes to warm to it, but it gets better and better as it goes along. While there may be an occasional "naughty" reference or typical British double-entendre, this show does not rely on vulgarity for its laughs, which is a nice change.I was very pleased to find this set that contained all 3 series plus the finale, all in one, and at a much more reasonable price than buying them separately. (I paid less than $30 when ordered in November 2016.)Note this is REGION 2 (UK) DVD set. You need a multi region player if you are in North America.

How I wish Miranda would bring back one of the best comedy shows ever. She was fabulous and so were the peoplewho made up her cast.Miranda, if you are seeing this, PLEASE REPRISE YOUR HISTERICAL SHOW. Had to buy a region free DVD player but sooooo worth it. This is my favorite show of all time. Quirky, funny and witty. Such fun! DVD includes some extras which were quite a nice surprise. This is what I call an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend.

Love this!!!! I got a Region 2 player, just for my British programs that I can't find on Region 1 DVDs. This show is just sooooo funny!!!! Miranda Hart is brilliant, and such a great physical comedian, and the other characters on the show are also very well done.

This is the best comedy show ever written or acted. In my opinion. LOL funny. very uplifting, especially in these days of ugliness, meanness and sadness.highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

Miranda is an entertaining show, the characters work really well together especially Stevie and Miranda. We used VLC media player to watch the DVDs, and it worked great. However, it was not able to decode season 3 for some reason. When I opened the files individually in the media player they seemed to be corrupted and were unwatchable. I will have to purchase a region 2 DVD player sometime and try season 3 in that.

There is not one episode that won’t make you laugh aloud. The cast is perfect, the writing superb. Funnier than Fawlty Towers, or the IT Crowd––hilarious all the way through. I give 5 stars for all three, but list Miranda as #1.

Cette série, très courte (20 épisodes de 30 minutes), est absolument hilarante, un vrai shoot de bonne humeur!Miranda (Miranda Hart, scénariste et actrice principale, absolument géniale) est une rêveuse empotée, vivant dans son monde et incapable de s'adapter à celui tellement ennuyeux des adultes, à laquelle on peut tous s'identifier, trentenaire encore célibataire étouffée par sa mère snob mais délurée et secrètement amoureuse de son adorable voisin Gary (Tom Ellis, déjà à damner une sainte 10 ans avant Lucifer). Les gags, jeux de mots, quiproquos et situations surréalistes s'enchaînent, les personnages secondaires sont tous délicieux et la série réussit à installer un certain nombre de gags récurrents dont on attend la répétition avec délectation.Je précise que la série est totalement inédite en France, il faut donc comprendre l'anglais, car ces DVD sont uniquement en VO et les sous-titres uniquement en anglais aussi. Mais si c'est votre cas, ne ratez pas cette occasion de rire aux éclats!

Muy satisfechos con la compra. Si te gusta la comedia inglesa esta es tu serie. Además viene con muchos extras. Encantados con ella. Eso sí, no busques el audio en castellano porque no lo hay, pero eso es lo mejor. Traducida la serie perdería gracia. Recomendable 100%

Uno show Eccezionale che tutti dovrebbero conoscere, brillante, ironico, incredibilmente divertente, ma che contiene una morale e un profondo insegnamento sulla diversità e sull'amore. Consigliatissimo a tutti, peccato che è poco conosciuto e che non ci sono i sottotitoli in altre lingue oltre all'inglese. Inoltre negli extra speravo mettessero qualcosa in più.

Wer britischen Humor mag, wird diese Serie lieben. Als Sitcom mit Live-Publikum gedreht, fühlt man sich wie in einer guten Live-Comedy-Show mit durchweg hinreißenden Darstellern, die das tägliches Leben aufs wunderbarste parodieren und dabei das Leben einer Mittdreißigerin ohne Kind und Eigenheim beleuchten. Miranda Hart, die die Serie auch geschrieben hat, ist absolut authentisch und auch autobiografisch. Sie entspricht nicht dem klassischen Schönheitsideal, geht aber so humorvoll und warmherzig mit sich selbst um, dass sich vor allem die weiblichen Zuschauerinnen wiederfinden können, die gern mal mit Problemzonen hadern. Dies macht sicher auch einen großen Teil des Erfolgs der Serie aus, die in England auch mit Preisen ausgezeichnet wurde.Ich bin über den "Lucifer"- Hottie Tom Ellis auf "Miranda" gestoßen. Er zeigt hier eine ganz andere schauspielerische Seite, warmherzig und ein bisschen tollpatschig, aber vor allem sehr tolerant und humorvoll Miranda gegenüber, die gern mal ins Fettnäpfchen tritt.Auch die Nebenrollen sind gut besetzt und alle Darsteller zeigen, dass sie super viel Spaß zusammen haben und das über ihr Spiel ins Publikum transferieren. Im Bonusmaterial sieht man, wie schwierig es sein kann, bei so viel Slapstick noch ernst zu bleiben und man lacht einfach mit. Die Serie ist übrigens auch toll, wenn man sein Englisch aufpolieren möchte, denn es wird sehr gut verständlich gesprochen.
