Want a fountain that makes a lot of water sound. Some fountains have almost no water noise, or it is too subtle. Does this have water noise?

I would not call this one big on audible. I have it on my desk about 3-4 feet from my ears and I can hear the water, but if there is other noise nearby (music, fan, etc.) water sound is easily drowned out. I needed one that didn't splash and typically louder water sound equals splash.
