Has all of the right characteristics for its purpose
I've used a number of different strobes and this is quickly becoming my favorite this far. First, it's sufficiently bright enough for its purpose. FAA regs state that anti-collision strobes need to be visible for at least 3 statute miles. This, just like a few others certainly meet this characteristic. What's also nice is that the case has some basic lensing built in to improve the emission angle, offering a wider coverage. This is a nice improvement over the models that just have the bare LED dies sitting on a board.Second, this unit has an honest-to-goodness enclosure. Nothing wrong with the shrink-coated boards, but the enclosure lends to a better mounting condition and ease of use. It also manages to do so without a huge weight penalty. Another novel feature are the rubber band/cable tie points on the side. Want to experiment first? Not interested in relying on Velcro and pressure-sensitive adhesive for mounting? This is really an underrated, yet simple feature. It works great on most prop arms, and I would imagine something could be devised to go around the fuselage if you wanted to as well.Lastly, it seemed like the batteries on the Firehouse lights never did a good job of holding a charge more than a week. While there was more than ample time for flight, it seemed like you had to make a point to charge them up before use because they usually went dead in storage. I have to say that my first of this brand seems to be holding a charge quite well after at least a month since charging. Added bonus is that this model also uses the newer USB-C connector instead of the now-depreciated USB-micro connector.FAA regs says that the lights need to be either white or red. I prefer to go with the white strobe, though Iwish that it would do 2 or 3 very quick, successive flashes in the pattern to be a little more eye-catching. I don't use the green, but could see this being useful if you wanted a brighter attitude marker. One other feature that I'd like to see in the future is a reduced intensity for the first minute, or the ability to put the strobe into standby for up to 60 seconds (e.g. flash the low-intensity blue LED to show standby delay). That way, it can be setup and activated, but doesn't go into full blinding mode (killing your night vision) until you get a chance to get the aircraft flight started (you'd momentarily wait for the strobe to fully activate before ascending). All in all, this seems to be the best offering thus far for an anti-collision strobe. I plan to get a couple more for my other airframes.

Amazing performance at a great price
First things first. Use the 3M picture hanging command strips. The ones that look like the hook only pieces of Velcro. They interlock and will give you a MUCH more secure hold. The included Velcro did not inspire confidence. The light comes in a small carrying case that holds all the accessories and instruction manual. Yes, they all fit if you do it right. I absolutely love that this light has a USB-C port for charging rather than an awful micro USB. No need to worry about losing that one special cable. My light arrived just under fully charged. The built in status led turns red for charging and green when fully charged. No guess work. For the DJI Air 3 I recommend placing the strobe over the DJI logo on top. This will place the strobe behind the GPS module instead of on top of it. YouTube has a great teardown video for the Air 3.I like my strobe lights on top rather than the bottom since manned aircraft are generally flying higher than your drone so it is easier for them to see. Plus I have an auxiliary light on the bottom already. The location I mounted mine ensured the strobe wasn’t in any of my camera shots and it was still very easy to see from the ground. This thing is bright! I have no doubts about the claimed 3.7 mile range of the white strobe. I have personally verified it is easily visible at 2 miles. I will never be using the green because, while the FAA does not mandate a color for drones, there are only two colors that mean anything to manned pilots when it comes to anti collision. White or Red. I’d rather use colors they would instantly recognize as anti collision lights. The white strobe on the fast setting is advertised to last longer than I have batteries to fly so there’s no need to use the red just for power saving.I highly recommend this amazing little light. When you consider the price, and performance, this is one of the best lights around.***UPDATE 2/24/24***I have flown my drone and verified this light is visible at the FAA required 3 statue miles. I mounted the light as shown in my pictures and it was visible from the rear and even brighter when the front of the aircraft is facing the operator.

Offers useful options. Solid quality.
Gave it a 4 since 5 is reserved for especially epic products. 4 is great, though.Really like the numerous light color output options. Push button control is intuitive, as is battery condition. Unit is very bright and was visible from beyond a half mile during the day time. Was hoping to utilize the o-ring attachment method on one of the arms but that isn't a safe option since my DJI Mini 4 Pro, and other similar Minis, have very slender arms and the strobe will not fit in a snug and safe manner. It can rotate in this arrangement which could allow it to rotate to the top of an arm and that would allow contact with propellers which would be catastrophic in flight.I used the Velcro style attachment and suggest it be placed on the bottom of the body on similar aircraft. When I had a very similar strobe attached to the top of the body before this one, I noticed a consistent inaccuracy during precision landing mode usage, even in daytime. The electronic pulse might be causing that anomaly and when placed underneath, it's shielded by the drone's battery and has no apparent effect. It's also a much more visible location while at altitude.Definitely recommend for an easy fix for a night flight requirement.
