Dewalt Rocks
Very tough. Definitely nice to have a tape that exceeds typical tape measures. A bit heavy, but that is to be expected. I am a Dewalt loyalist. Worth every penny. The optional magnetic tip attachment is great to have. Especially if working alone. Easy to use and accurate measurements.

Passed the test!
This is a beefy little tape measure. The most important thing to my husband was that it stands up so that he could measure distances by himself without the tape collapsing. This one passed the test with flying colors!

Wide tape
well built, can be extended 15' or so without bending or folding. Kinda heavy.

Really durable besides the belt clip
I’m a Dewalt guy but the belt clip needs to be stronger. The tape is indestructible and can be thrown off a roof onto a drive way and be fine. It’s heavier than most tapes but not to bad. I would put it on my tool bag after my work day and over time the belt hook just kept loosening up because it couldn’t hold the weight of the tape. But besides that the tape is great and I use in on the job all the time.

Very rigid when extending over long distances
Needed to measure the height off the floor of a “stage lighting can” to see if I needed a 10 or 12 foot step ladder to change a bulb. I was able to easily extend the tape up and use the magnet on the end of the tape to hold the tape in place so I could measure that the can was 17 feet off the floor. A quick tug and the magnet released and the tape retracted properly. I have always wondered how some the contractors on pbs shows could point with their measuring tape at things so far up in the air. Now I know!

Great for electrical work
This is a great tape! It came with a magnet for ease of measurements on metal walls or doors

Dewalt forever
I had this tape before, not too long ago. I work as an ironworker and this tape is perfect. It’s heavy-duty and the max reach feature helps me get my measurements with ease on angle pieces, or a piece with a notch. It’s easy to read and see. I highly recommend this tape for any use. This is great for home and on the job sight…so, now I have this tape again. I messaged the seller on here and I explained that my tape was stolen from me and I didn’t have the money to get a great piece of gear, like this tape. A susie homemaker tape isn’t gonna cut it. The cheap ones are no good for anything if you ask me. Anyway, they sent me another tape, free of charge. These guys at DeWalt are for the working man or woman and that deserve much more than a rating. Dewalt has my business forever. Thanks guys!

Don't step on it while measuring
Garbage. While measuring a roadway at work, stepped on the tape to pull out more to finish the measurement, a fairly common thing and the tape bent and broke. Now, there's a side at the 16' mark that continues to peal away and causes the tape to get stuck, and not even recoil.
