New York Times Take It With You Monday Crosswords

This size crossword book is handy. I have purchased some in the past. They are all difficult to use due to small print, and stiff binding. If the pages could be torn out with ease, the game changes. The torn out page could be laid on the booklet and easily worked.Some I purchased in the past said they had tear out pages, but did not. In that case I cut all pages out with a strong box knife, and then clamped the loose pages together. Awkward, but it works.This booklet actually has tear out pages. They can easily be removed and solved. This book is very good.

These are supposed to be easy and most are. However, I found some that I would not consider to be easy. Who checks these?

Puzzzles in this book are just right!

I was unhappy that I had misplaced my book of NYT Monday puzzles that I like to take on trips, so I bought this one as a replacement. The big feature of this one is that the pages are perforated so that you can tear them out and take them with you. I was disappointed to discover that the size of the puzzles and clues had been shrunk to fit everything on one page, and this made them difficult for me to read. They may work for people who use reading glasses, but since my glasses correct for nearsightedness, I have to either hold the book out in front of me or take my glasses off and hold the book about 8 inches from my face to read it. This is inconvenient and I have only completed 2 puzzles in the book. It is easier just to pull up the NYT puzzle archive on my phone instead. ($30/yr subscription) I am also happy to say that I have since found my other Monday NYT puzzle book and I can read that one with no trouble.

Perforated. Easy to use.

I didn’t realize it was smaller sized - a little difficult to write in but portable.

I didn’t read the dimensions of the product prior to purchasing but due to it being (not tiny but) smaller than 8.5x11, the text and crossword grid are slightly smaller than I expected. That size is good for portability though. Otherwise this is exactly as expected and it’s nice that the pages are perforated for tearing out.

This review lost ONE star, because the pages are NOT removable as it is claimed. I have been using NYT Monday puzzles for years so this was the next on my list.

Love the Monday crosswords, i usually use the app but I used this in rehab where we weren’t allowed our phones lol
