Good frosted effect, easy to fit if you know how.
I strongly recommend checking for online videos for how to install this and buying a set of vinyl car wrapping blades (I found the felt covered one was very useful).Personally, I found it easier to pop the double glazed unit out of the frame and clean it on its back, you have to get every last spot of dirt off or it'll show later. Then, cut it to size, i left 5mm between the edge tape so i didn’t get any lifting/bubbling of the film around the edge. Then, absolutely copious amounts of slightly soapy water all over the glass and float the sheet on from the middle. Work your way out from the centre pushing the water to the edges and creating a firm bond. Pop the window back in, push in the beads, and it looks factory perfect...However, glass is dangerous, lifting double glazing units out has risks, so be careful. Only do this with proper gloves (the edge tapes may have lifted and left sharp glass edges), and a well prepared plan and space to move.

Best nights sleep in ages
I work unsociable hours and have a tiny window in my bedroom that always woke me up with the sun, thought I’d give this a go…. Brilliant stuff! Slept right through! It’s pitch black in the bedroom while it’s super sunny outside. I don’t often write reviews but I would recommend this!!

It doesn’t stick at all
When opened it’s good quality but it doesn’t stick even after spending ages trying to peel back the clear stuff off the back it doesn’t stick nor is anyway sticky? We had to Velcro it up but it’s still letting light in

Very effective. Fiddly to install.
This is a good, light-excluding film (bearing in mind the warnings in some of the other reviews about UV/sunlight). I needed it to black out some internal glass windows, so the sunlight issue wasn't a problem.Cutting the film to size requires a lot of space to spread it out and cut it without wrinkles. Then you have to perform a dance with soapy water and a squeegee that I perhaps wasn't expecting - I imagined it would have an adhesive backing. I think the film is just stuck to the glass by air pressure, which means it could in theory be removed in the future without leaving a sticky residue.Once cut to size (in my case re-cut to size), the result is good, and the slightly matte effect is quite nice. It's just a bit of a faff to cut and apply.

Greta but…
This film does what it says, it offers a total blackout which is great now we are getting lighter days.I ordered to put in my sons windows so he does keep waking up very early.Unfortunately I thought this was a static film that could be whipped on and off the window and didn’t require water etc. it’s not. It’s more for long time/permanent use as you have to spray the windows dow n with water, place the film on, and squeegee out any bubbles or excess water. This is a lot to do each night only to peel off the next day to let light in.If you have a room you want to be dark all day, everyday, then this film should do the trick. If your looking at using it for kids rooms I’d recommend a total blackout blind instead.

Blindin’
We’ve put these up in a child’s bedroom to replace an old ‘suction pad’ blackout blind (pictured) that kept falling off.So, this arrived. A roll of film, and tucked inside were a cloth, ruler, craft knife and instruction sheet.Easy enough in principle, but a bit faffy to get the cutting right. I did it over a block of wood, in small ruler sized cuts.Window wise, clean, dry, wet with water, then peel off the blind backing sheet, wet that, and apply. Wet a bit extra once on, then squeeze the water out.An old credit card in kitchen roll made a great squeegee.Trim the overhang by pushing the knife against the edge of the window, then keep doing the squeegee until happyOne section of window was longer than the roll, so I did a rough join of two bits. So far so good. The main thing, the room is nice and dark!

Does what it's supposed to.
Used to cover a bedroom window.Provides good blackout. Easy to cut but as with any product like this, it is difficult to cut it to exact size to block out every tiny bit of light. But if used with curtains it is very effective. Can be easily removed.Came as a roll, no damage. Would recommend.
