good
surprisingly entertaining game got it half price, the gimmick is super fun and simple enough for younger kids while enjoyable for grown ups too. Can't say the ghost glows much in the dark even after charged especially since it's difficult playing it in dark, the footprints are hard to see. It's not a problem though

Always Wanted This Game!
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I always wanted this game as a kid?! Well I ordered it for my wee boy’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint! Assembly was a bit of a faff but once that’s over with it’s such a fun game. It can go on for ages but has so far provided hours of enjoyment for me and my 2 kids (5 and 8). And for under 20 quid it’s a bargain. Highly recommended.

My childhood dream
I dreamt about these for two decades, now I finally bought it “for my kids” and it was magical. We only played it twice cause it gets boring after two games as its always the same, still I will treasure the box forever..

Good value at under £20
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this given the price and how expensive even pretty crappily made games usually are. Okay it's largely card, but it's is pretty solid and robust. The traps are fun and do work. My son loves it and both enjoys the game and messing around with the traps. It's good fun and really good for £16!

Still a great game but not as well made as I remember
I bought this to relive some childhood memories and get my kids off their screens! The game was as good as I remember. It's random actions from the ghost dropping the ball really makes it fun. And the replay value is there aswell. Being able to play with 4 is also great fun, if a little crowded at times. So if it's great why not 4 stars? Well the game from the 80s had a box and separate board. But this version the box IS the board you play on. This means if you damage the box, the game itself is also potentially damaged too. Also the main structure originally was made more from plastic, whereas this is more card. Again easier to damage when putting it together. In fact we already have an errant bend in one section of the "castle" and while it hasn't stopped play, it does cause the axe trap to fall when it's not set off as part of the game.So I can't give five stars for the build quality but please don't let that put you off buying as with care it should last well and it's a fun game to play.

Enjoyable Family Game
This was quite different to anything we’ve played before. Rather than competing against each other, we were all on the same team racing against the allocated time. This was particularly useful for the younger players within our family who are too young to play games by themselves. The older players could give pointers and help them solve part of the challenge.Essentially you are working together to find a person on the map. Not in the same way as you would in Where’s Wally, but you are looking to identify a building or theme park ride where Finley could be hiding. The cards allow you to eliminate parts of the map and plot Finley’s previous movements until there is only one possible outcome.

Fun but...
It's fun but must be assembled and disassembled every time one plays it.

Good enough. Warning: GPS!!
It‘s a very nice modernization of the classic game, with a few weird decisions weighing it down… for starters, every trap-piece is made of gold plastic. That alone should send shivers down your spine (but not the good way), I for one immediately broke the trigger for the chandelier during my first assembly because it‘s pretty brittle. Still works as intended though. Lucky me.Second: The outer playfield is not attached to the board itself and keeps moving as a result. Not ideal but whatever. Finally the overall game design is too „bright“. For a kind-of sort-of spooky game, the old design was a way better fit. The thunderstorm outside the window, for example. It‘s still fun but… somehow lacking.SO: If you have the extra cash, definitely go for the classic variant. I for one will replace my current version with the classic one. If you don‘t care as much as I do, by all means! This will suffice.
