Excellent brew!
This 8-cup coffee maker delivers! It produces an excellent brew, has a smaller profile which fits nicely on counter top, a glass carafe which is getting harder to find, and is well-priced and easy to use and clean. This was purchased to replace a Bonavita glass carafe 8-cup coffee maker and it exceeds expectations. It also produces a fresher, cleaner cup than the Bonavita. The "bloom" feature adds an added richness to the brew if you want a deeper flavor, but we've found that it's not needed to achieve a good quality cup of coffee. Highly recommended.

Great Tasting Coffee
Very first cup of coffee from Simply Good tasted significantly better than any coffee I'd ever made for myself before. Round, rich, full flavor, no bitterness. Though I use cream and a bit of sugar, straight black was fabulous too. (I may have to switch.) I have been using the classic Braun Aromaster for the past 30 years because it brewed great coffee, but the Simply Good was far superior in taste. I am surprised every morning just how good my coffee is. This is what I like about it: 1. Small footprint, does not eat up entire counter like many coffee makers. 2. Simple operation -- easy to fill with filter, coffee and water. One button on and coffee's ready in 6 minutes. 3. Coffee is properly hot. 4. Cost is reasonable, and a lot less (sometimes by half) than similar coffee makers. 5. Attractive appearance, it looks like it makes good coffee, and it does! 6. Just one minor concern: automatic turnoff in 40 minutes (I know--to keep the coffee from burning) but I just hit the on button for another 40 minutes. That said, this my coffee maker for the next 30 years. Highly recommended.

Simple is best 3 good sized mugs of Coffee, no Tichy cups here
I saw this a couple of weeks ago and of course it bears a strong resemblance to that very well-known but expensive coffee maker. Can i make a comparison? Yes, i have one to compare with this new on the market Olsen brand. So, i bought this a week or so ago and the most obvious question is does it make good coffee? Answer, yes as good as its expensive look alike and actually a bit hotter. The design is simpler with the coffee holder being much easier to simply slide out, throw away the old filter and coffee then replace with new, note put the lid on before sliding back into place. It fits much better and does not leak droplets out of the edge onto the counter. You can stop the flow whenever you want with a simple lever, works perfectly. The glass carafe is nice, but it can spill over if you try to pour too quick, but there is plenty of room to use a different carafe, i tried the one with the funny bit on the top that i already had, perfect. So a very good coffee maker without any fiddley bits and half the price, what's not to like =)12/13/2022I did find that i was spilling coffee out the side of the pot when i was pouring, not always but enough to be a nuisance. So i used my Bunn 10 cup replacement carafe and as i said above it fits perfectly. The reason coffee was pouring out the side was that glass the handle on the original was hard for me to grip the thin handle properly so it would twist just a bit; the Bunn handle is much easier to grip when you are getting older. As a bonus the original lid from the glass carafe fit in the Bunn with a little pressure if you want to use it.

HOT PLATE DOES NOTHING
This coffee pot makes excellent coffee and rivals the Mokkamaster which we also have. However the hot plate, even when on, does not keep coffee hot enough to go back for a second cup a half hour later. I know that you don't want the coffee baking away and getting ruined, but if your routine is to have a cup of coffee and then go get a second from the original pot a half hour or 40 minutes later, you will not be able to do that without utilizing the microwave to warm your coffee back up. If they had a thermal carafe version I would probably get that and keep it, but they do not, so the search continues.

Unbelievably Good Coffee from A Simple Machine
I don't know what it is about this coffee maker, but the quality of the coffee it brews is amazing. It isn't an expensive coffee maker. It is fairly simple to use, but wow. I find I brew less coffee because I am no longer bolting it down. I savor it. It tastes really good. The pros:-simple to use. Pour in water, but grounds in filter basket. Flip the switch on. Done. Literally two switches.-fast - coffee is ready quickly and tastes amazing-easy to clean.-Measurements on side are accurate. Which, frankly, is amazing. Most are way off.-Burner turns off after twenty minutes. No more burned coffee, no more wondering if you left the coffee maker on.Cons-bloom function is perhaps too simple. There is a manual lever on the filter basket that you close, do the bloom function, then you open it up. If you are like me, you might just forget to open that lever again. Coffee overflows filter (and I recognize that problem exists between coffee maker and human!)And really - that is the only quibble. Coffee machine is not idiot (or coffee deprived) proof. I had some initial issues getting the coffee maker, and then I pouted about it for about a month. Bought an OXO which is fine - but then I moved house, and this was easier to set up and well, then I stopped pouting. This is an amazing coffee maker. Proof again of what Einstein said - make everything as simple as possible, but no simpler.

10 out of 10
Bought myself a brewer for Xmas. I love it. Highly impressed. It does one thing very, very well. It makes an amazing cup of coffee. I purposely chose this brewer because of the things people most commented on in ads: 1- the glass carafe. Glass lends to a truer taste. 2- shorter warming plate time. This maker is designed to always deliver a consistent flavor.3- the mixing tube in the carafe. It accounts for heavier taste at the bottom of the pot and funnels the brewing coffee so that it distributes oils and flavor evenly through the carafe. 4- the bloom function. Imagine a cross between a pour over and a french press. It delivers low acidity and depth of flavor. Also, was pleasantly surprised that the brewed coffee temperature is perfect for sipping immediately from carafe to mug, no waiting for it to cool to sip. I'm a fan for life.
