Good for the money
Used with hp tuners to bench program a couple computers with success. But I did replace the power supply with a bigger one.

Works flawless with small modification.
Works great, the only thing you need to do is get rid of the power supply that's provided. It doesn't put out enough amperage when flashing the ecm.I just cut it out and wired in two larger wires. Buy yourself a benchtop power supply that's adjustable and connect it to that. For the price it's unbeatable.

Ls Swap
It got the job done 1 key factor though Make some without the wall plug and put positive and negative terminals on them I had to use a battery so I cut the wall plug off and connected it to a battery steady voltage no interference

PCM and OBD connetions are great, power supply is inadequite.
I bought this harness to reprogram a pcm from a 02 escalade 6.0L. I have a real GM MDI2 (not a clone) and used it to connect Universal Patcher and PCM Hammer software. When I tried to connect everything, the MDI2 would not connect in the manager. I did notice that the vehicle light was blinking red. This indicated no 12v supply on pin 16 of the OBD connector. It did have 12v but the power supply was not sufficent to power the pcm and the MDI2. I pulled the wire wrap back and was able to use a jumper wire set to connect a jump pack. The MDI2 connected and PCM hammer was able to read the computer. For the price, I am still happy with the purchase but I will be replacing the power supply with a stronger supply or just putting aligator clips on to attach to battery or jump pack.
