The 4 corers included in the package come in different sizes. The largest one is just big enough to handle large apples. For smaller fruit, the other corers come in handy.After reading reviews of many different corers, I opted for this set for a few reasons.1) The corer is a single piece. I have read enough reviews to know that having two pieces or a similar build usually results in bending or splitting at the seam. That should not happen with these.2) Stainless steel all over, including the handle makes for easy cleaning and less worry about wear. Some might find the lack of a rubber grip to be an issue if they have problems such are arthritis. I find that the stainless steel handle works just fine.3) Corer design pull out core. There are some designs that leave the core inside the apple when you pull the corer out. Not so for this one.I did not get the top rated corer from America's Test Kitchen nor did I go with another brand that I know well as both those models tended to start out well but have problems after a couple of months of use.Please read the reviews, especially the 3-star and below of any corer you decide to buy. That's where I learned of several issues with other ones. I hope these hold up and I will update my review if anything changes in that regard.

So far I have used these coring tools for tomatoes, apples, and pitting cherries. Like I said, I don't know why I did without for so long. They work great for me and I'll keep finding more uses for them in my kitchen, of that I am sure.

We bought the set because we have to medicate a horse daily. We use the small corer to auger out a carrot, stuff a pill in and use the core to plug the hole. Have not used the larger ones.

These are amazing! I did about 5 pounds of strawberries in under a half hour. They are sturdy and easy to use. No complaints here!

I've used these for apples and tomatoes now and really like them. I've even used the smallest one for cherry tomatoes. It's such a quick alternative when canning tomatoes whole. This is a great addition to my kitchen, in general, but also to my canning equipment.

I needed a smaller corer to make stuffed dill pickles set came with 4 sizes and worked perfectly. They are nice and sharp and easy to use!
