I have 3 different shade hats purchased after my fifth melanoma. Being an outdoor person it’s difficult to find a hat that protects more skin than just your nose. This hat has adjustable side shades and it works well.I took it apart and tried the visor with the drape. This also works well, which was what I wanted.All I can say is this product covers well. All of my melanomas were where I didn’t use much sunscreen. So I am convinced to put on shade and sunscreen every day. I was lucky to not lose a jaw, and lucky to find this hat.

Love how it fits and shades my neck from the sun when mowing my lawn. The face covering is a little thin to use when mowing 5 acres, but good when doing small yard work.

As I noted in other reviews, in 117 degree heat you can never wear too little but this sun protection covers your neck and ears (always overlooked when applying sunscreen), face if a dust storm comes along with sun, and eyes are well shaded. You really don’t feel any weight from the protective layer. Recommend highly.

Shipping was fast. Hat seems durable. I work for a lawn service so it gets plenty of use. I do wish you could snap the neck flap to the edge of the bream (where it snaps to face cover) for more side shad for early morning and afternoons but the coverage is still great. My neck stays covered even with the constantly looking down do while weedeating. I haven't converted it to a visor just yet but it's a simple zipper so I would assume it would be easy. I took the. Hin strap off as well. Just a personal preference but they come off and go back on with breeze.
