Death Wish: A Story of the Mafia Paperback – January 1, 2013

After reading Pimp we had to get more by Slim. Wish this had a glossary as well. The lingo is a little hard to follow and it jumps around, but a good read. Had to send it to an inmate friend. It’s a jailhouse hit.

Good but not as good as "Pimp" or "Mama Black Widow" (I've read "Trick Baby" over 20 years ago, unlike the two books I mentioned, so I'll have to read it again and I've never read "Dynamite Willie & Me"). If you're a fan of Iceberg Slim its worth reading just don't expect "Death Wish" to be as good as those two or for black underworld characters to be the focus of the story...the focus is on Italian Gangsters. Ice is best when he writes about a world he knows well.

It was a present. Feedback is if you got a ghetto girlfriend that likes to read she will love this book.

A really great read.

It will shock delicate sensibilities but Slim sure knows how to tell a story. It's as if he was a fly on the wall witnessing events. I enjoyed it.
