I got this for a 5 year old who is very interested in tools. There's not a lot of instructions, but once I figured out where the panel for the batteries is (it's on the side, you might have to move the t-rex arm out of the way to slide it out...there may have been a screw holding it in place also, I can't remember), and I found the plastic "screwdriver" hidden in dino's head- the little one was off to the races. For a kid who is usually hell bent on chaos and destruction, he sat quietly and intently as he unscrewed the plastic screws and reconfigured the dino/gun in different ways. He was even careful not to lose the screws! Throughout the night he kept running off to reconfigure the toy and coming back to show off his new creations or shoot at his sister with a newly configured gun. What a great gift!! He didn't put it down for the entire night! I would definitely recommend this toy!!!

This toy is a lot better than it seems. My child loves it. Does a lot of different noises and lights. She can change it up and switch parts around which is cool. The only thing I'm not into is the trigger. It's in a very "intimate" part of the dinosaur. Seems kind of strange that they'd put the trigger there for the kids. Other than that, this toy is well worth the money and your kids will love the lights and sounds.

I bought two of these one for each of my grandsons. They actually played with him at another friends house and fell in love with them. They love them such fun toys to play with sound effects are awesome.

I have to admit this is a pretty cool gun for a young child. My 5-year-old grandson is very happy with this toy and plays with it often. It is a good value for the price.
