I do agree with others that there is a sort of "industrial smell" about them, but the tape works just fine for me.

Very poor quality tape. We had to go to the hardware store to replace it.

I would not recommend this tape as it is not good quality packaging tape. Ok for household use but not for sending a pkg in the mail.
