Solid iPad Pro Stand
I waited a while before finally picking one of these stands up, and my only regret is that I didn't pick it up sooner. Design: - Great looking - Very sturdy, solid metal - Hinges are solid but not too difficult to re-adjust when desired (never feel the iPad is going to sag due to the weight) Ease of Use: - Going between this stand and my keyboard case is incredibly quick and seamless. The magnets are easy to line up and there's enough space around the back edges of the iPad for your hands to get a solid grasp while placing or removing from the stand. - The stand feels solid while using your iPad even from a distance. Very little shake for most any actions, and easy to rotate and adjust as needed Convenience: - This stand has been incredibly convenient for me to be able to use my iPad to multi-task while I'm at my desk (playing videos in the background, Facetime calls, extending my computer display, etc.) - Since this can be mounted to the side and does not need to rest on your desk surface itself, you can still maintain usable space underneath (which is greatly appreciated)

Definitely stiff, but holds VERY well
I waited awhile to review this to get a fair amount of use with it before I did. Here are my thought after a month or so: I have shopped around on some iPad mounts. I have had my eye on this one for awhile but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend the money. But I am glad I caught it on a sale and snagged it for a slightly cheaper price. So far it’s been worth the money! Love the magnetic plate! Makes it SO easy to attach/detach my iPad. Far superior to the tension grip mounts I’ve used. Like others have said, the arm is very stiff and can take a lot to maneuver it into the position you want. BUT I think that can be a good thing. Depending on how you’re using the iPad, having that stiffness in the mount is needed. I do a lot of writing and digital art on my iPad, and when I need to lean on the iPad a bit or push a little harder, I find that this mount doesn’t budge and definitely doesn’t sag or start to sink. I think that’s because of how stiff the arm is. The only thing I think I would change would be making it possible to tighten/loosen the joints for maneuverability. Other tablet and monitor mounts I have used/still use had a Philips head or hex notch in the joints, so you could tighten them if they got loose over time, but when you wanted to change the position of the arm, you could loosen it slightly and it move way smoother. I was somewhat surprised when I saw this mount didn’t have capability. But I don’t really need to move it around too much, so that’s not the biggest issue for me. I will definitely continue to use it and will update after some more time to see how it’s holding up (if I remember…no promises).

BEST iPAD SWING ARM STAND ON THE MARKET... PERIOD!
I can make that bold claim because I literally purchased ALL of the most popular "Swing Arm" desk mount iPad stands on Amazon in my hunt for the ultimate desk mounted adjustable "Swing Arm" product. The prices of these stands typically range from as low as $25.00 up to $49.95 for the "Jusmo LS31". And then we have this product at the very top of the cost range, all alone at $99.99. With the price of this one being double the cost of the Jusmo L31, I was reluctant to spend over 100 bucks for something like this, but after trying and returning the first half dozen of the cheaper alternatives due to various FAILS, I decided to go ahead and purchase this stand. All the while fully expecting this one to be no better than something like the Jusmo L31 at twice the price. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Long story short... This stand is worth every penny of that 100 bucks just based on the quality of the components alone! But it goes much deeper than that! This thing has a ton of positives going for it with basically only (1) negative which many other reviewers here have already touched on... That being the stiffness of the arm joints and the lack of user adjustable tensioners to dial in the ideal amount of tension for a smooth and easy arm movement front to back, while having enough tension to hold the iPad in place without It slowly sagging down over time due to gravity. (Something a lot of the cheaper stands suffered from with my iPad Air 5.) This stand simply does not offer the ability to loosen the arm joints, so you are not going to be able to grab your iPad and effortlessly pull the arm out towards you, or push it back into a stowed position either. Attempting that is likely to either tip the table over you have this thing bolted to, or your iPad is going to come off the stand in your hands due to the excessive amount of force required to get those super stiff arm joints to move! The best solution is to adjust the arm to the point that you have a good forward facing position at your work area, and then hopefully be able to swing the arm along the desk clamp pivot point while adjusting the mounting plate the iPad is attached to at the same time for your "STOWED" position. (Have a look at the attached photos showing my final setup next to my Arm Chair in my living room) We have listed the only major CON of this product, so lets now list all the PROs: 1) Mates to the back of the iPad Air 5 seamlessly!!! Magnets are nice and strong and the mounting plate perfectly matches the dimensions of the iPad's chassis. In my case, it also nicely matches the "Space Gray" color of my iPad Air. 2) SOLID all metal components add up to an incredibly robust look and feel. The materials used to make this stand are all of the highest quality and it shows everywhere. It also weighs twice as much as any of the other stands I tested, but that is a very good thing in this case. An overbuilt and over engineered Swing Arm iPad stand is long overdue if you ask me! 3) Solid metal mounting plate doubles as a HEAT SINK! -- A fringe benefit to the all metal mounting plate is how well it helps to dissipate any heat coming off the back of the iPad during heavy use cases. I have really noticed a difference here and this feature is unique to this product because all the other stands I tested employed a "Plastic Clamp" design to hold the iPad onto the stand. The magnetic attachment design on this stand is far superior to that more common approach and makes the user experience far more satisfying with a solid feeling of quality whenever you adjust the iPad into position. It is also much easier to remove from the stand. Just pull it towards you and the iPad pops right off into your hands! VERY APPLE LIKE! Classy! 4) YishanDirect (seller) is A CLASS ACT! ... I wrote to them through the seller contact section here on Amazon complaining about the arm tension issue and asking why they did not provide any way for the user to adjust the tension. They replied to me in less than (2) hours and after I messaged them. Their response to my complaint was to offer to send me another brand new personally inspected stand free of charge. Based on my issues, they suspected that the one I received was either a customer return or it somehow got past their QC process. According to the seller rep I conversed with in this exchange, each stand is thoroughly inspected and the arm tension is set at a "sweet spot" between being too tight while also being firm enough that the iPad will never sag down due to gravity over years of constant use. I just got a followup email from them as I was typing up this review confirming that my replacement stand has been shipped along with a UPS tracking number. They are not asking that I return the original stand to them either. Apparently, I am free to keep it as a backup, give it away to a friend or family member or whatever. I could theoretically return the original back to Amazon for a refund and essentially get this stand for FREE! But that idea just doesn’t sit well or feel right with me. Based on the overall quality of this product and the impressive customer service I have received from the seller, I believe in supporting companies that go the extra mile like this. So I have no problem spending $102 bucks for something this well made and functional. Even if it took a bit of messaging back and forth to finally end up with what I want. But even with the current stand I have and it's over the top arm tension, once I got everything positioned and adjusted for my use case, it is working out very well indeed! In fact, I would be more than happy using this original stand as-is! Once you get the arm adjusted to work with your setup, you really don’t need to keep messing with it. Like I said above… I just pivot the entire stand where it attaches to the desk mounting clamp assembly, while rotating the iPad back into horizontal alignment in the stowed position. Same goes for swinging the iPad back over to the left and positioned over the right armrest of my chair from the previous stowed position. The only component that needs to be physically adjusted between these two positions is the mounting plate and attached iPad. UPDATE to COME SOON! When my replacement stand arrives, I will update this review to cover the difference in overall arm performance compared to this unit I received from Amazon. Stay tuned!

Extremely Disappointed – Weak Magnet, Poor Quality, and Overpriced
I recently purchased the KU XIU Magnetic iPad Pro 12.9 Stand from Amazon with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The product claims to be a convenient solution for holding my iPad Pro securely, but it falls short in several critical aspects. The most concerning issue is the weak magnet. The whole purpose of a magnetic stand is to securely hold the iPad Pro in place, but this stand fails to do so. With just a slight accidental touch, the iPad Pro detaches from the stand and falls, putting my expensive device at risk of damage. It's baffling that a stand designed for a premium device like the iPad Pro would have such a fundamental flaw. Furthermore, the material quality of this stand is abysmal, especially considering the price. The stand feels flimsy and cheap, not at all like a product that should be holding an expensive tablet. It's disappointing to see that the quality does not match the premium promise that the product claims to offer. To make matters worse, the product is overpriced for the subpar quality it delivers. It's disheartening to invest hard-earned money in a product that feels like it could break at any moment. It's worth noting that the stand is manufactured in China. While I don't have a bias against products made in China, in this case, it seems like the manufacturing process has resulted in a subpar product that doesn't meet the standards one would expect for the price. Another issue I encountered was the difficulty in adjusting the arms of the stand. This inconvenience makes it frustrating to find the right viewing angle, and it certainly detracts from the overall user experience. A stand should offer ease of use and flexibility, and this product falls short on both counts. In conclusion, the KU XIU Magnetic iPad Pro 12.9 Stand is a disappointment on multiple fronts. The weak magnet, poor material quality, high price, and inconvenience in adjusting the arms make this stand a regrettable purchase. I would strongly advise potential buyers to explore alternative options that offer better build quality, stronger magnetism, and a more reasonable price point. It's unfortunate that this product doesn't live up to its promises, and I would caution others against making the same mistake I did.

Good, but (potentially) overpriced
The magnet works fine. It’s strong enough to hold the iPad without too much wobble. Part of the design feels very durable and strong. But after 4 months the twisting mechanism is frozen and won’t turn. No clear or discernible reason why. This has made it unusable now. Update: They saw my review and offered to refund me. I asked for a replacement and it's been great. I don't know if I'll have the same issue in a few months, but I respect a company that stands behind their product. I'm adding a star. The base also wobbles and there isn't a way to tighten it. It’s not awful, but for nearly $100 I expect high quality all the way down to the details. Overall, it’s fine, but definitely overpriced.

An Excellent iPad Stand for the Desktop
This is an excellent desktop stand for the iPad. The magnetic connection is perfect, secure enough to offer reassurance that the iPad won't slip off, and comes off easily with a firm grip and a tug. The arm is stiff, so the iPad is firm to work with. The arm moves well with an intentional grip, but I don't expect to be moving it much. I love this stand, it is perfect for my workflow.

Actually NOT for the 13" 2024 M4 model, despite one review stating otherwise!
Despite the description clearly indicating that this would not work for the latest 13" model, I went ahead and purchased it for my 2024 Pro 13" M4 because another reviewer stated that it actually worked fine. I disagree, but maybe his needs are different than my own; it does not work well enough for my situation. I mainly use my iPad Pro as an additional display, 75% of the time. I'm a graphic designer and animator and there are times that I need to sketch things and use the iPad as a drawing tablet. This is why the magnetic design appeals to me, so I can quickly just pull it off and set it flat on my desk for those tasks. My prior iPad Pro is the 2020 12.9" and that sits attached to the Apple Magic Keyboard beside my MacBook. It's not a 90º degree angle, but fairly close to that. I decided that I so rarely used the pricey Magic Keyboard, and that this time I would just find a nice stand for my desk (for 1/4 the price). The magnetism of this stand on this model of iPad compared to the magnetism of the Apple Keyboard doesn't compare. NOT THAT IT DOESN'T WORK AS WELL ON EARLIER iPad MODELS THOUGH. I read elsewhere that Apple had to move the magnets around for the M4 13" version, so it's just not designed for this model, despite the previous reviewer seeming to feel it was sufficient. It does connect and stay put *sort of* well, but not at a more severe, perpendicular angle, which I need. Hopefully, the company plans to update the placement of the magnets on a new version. But, until then, just be patient. I say this because I WILL be grabbing one when that happens. It's otherwise a very well built stand. Nice and sturdy, cleanly machined minimalist design. For that, I won't ding them of their 5 stars.

Great execution, could use more engineering
I want to start by saying this is a phenomenal product. It feels and looks very high quality. It is not easy to bend the arms, and I view that as a positive because there is no “give” at the joints when you are using the touch screen. I work in TV/film and I’ve encountered arms that are meant to hold monitors etc where you don’t tighten anything to get the monitor in position and they often have a lot of “give” and loosen over time. Usually they have an exposed allen bolt that you can tighten, but they always end up loosening unless you use locktite. This arm feels like it will NOT loosen over time. That said, I would pay twice as much if it had a few more thought-out features: 1. Wireless charging of iPad: the official iPad keyboard case allows you to charge your iPad wirelessly if the keyboard is plugged into power. It would be much more elegant if this had power running through the arm to the wireless contact points for the iPad. Maybe even with a swappable iPad mount to account for future or different sized iPad models. I just run my USB-C cable through the arm and it’s fine, but there is no hiding the cable, sadly, so it doesn’t look as clean as it could. 2. I wish there was a better mechanism for the rotation of the iPad. Maybe some kind of ball joint that had an ergonomic locking element (not twist tighten). Right now it just rotates on one axis and hinges on the other two so it can be awkward to position it or make micro adjustments. The Y axis joint is easy to adjust, same for the rotation. But the X axis is stiff like the main joints, so having to use force to get it where you want it can be awkward with an iPad attached only by magnets. A locking ball joint would solve all of these issues and would be easier for my brain to angle it how I want it quickly. 3. I wish the 3rd joint from the base (and/or the 2nd joint) could rotate at the joint. The whole arm rotates 360 degrees at the base, which is great. But you can’t really have the arm extending away from the viewer/user at the base, and then angle the rest of the arm in a different direction. Use cases would be angling the arm around desk obstacles, or mounting it to a chair or nightstand, extended away from viewer, and angling it to the left or right so that the screen is directly in front of them. This one seems like the easiest to implement, and the most crucial. You can find work arounds based on where you place it, but since it has a clamp style mount, sometimes there isn’t a good place to clamp it in your space where extending it in a straight line from the base is ideal. I wouldn’t be writing all this of I didn’t love it though. I’m just hoping this kind of feedback catches on and gets back to some engineer who can improve it. I’ve attached this permanently to a little cart that I use around the house, office, workshop, and in bed for watching shows/videos, playing games, browsing the internet, and general productivity. This thing is PERFECT for carts since it solves some aforementioned positioning issues with the design, quick release thanks to magnets, keeps cart free for anything else you use the cart for. Great for anyone, but I know TV/film best so I’ll say it’s great for camera or audio carts, since iPads can be used with such a variety of workflows. I’m in love, and hoping for a v2.0 sometime in the future. For now though, it’s perfect.
