Silicone rings - and solid closure
Good quality. The thing I wanted to avoid was having a cheap looking or feeling jar and these are not - they are solid and fitting for my spice blend that I put in them

The spice bottles are exactly how they are described. They were great. I used them along with other items in bridal shower favors.

Metal clasps discolor if ran through a dishwasher
Everything works great but it isn't dishwasher safe even if you remove the gaskets first. I removed the gaskets and put them in the dishwasher to sanitize them for food use. When I removed from the dishwasher the metal clasps are discolored like the chrome washed off.
