Good little waffle iron
This is a fun little iron. We don’t use it for waffles, but for eggs. We put a sprinkle of cheese, an egg, salt and pepper, and another sprinkle of cheese and close the lid. When it stops steaming it is done and it is delicious. Perfect for putting on a homemade egg McMuffin. The only quibble I have is that it doesn’t have a good way to catch any grease you may add, even if it is for waffles. It gathers in the lid in the back and when you close the lid, the grease leaks out on the counter. The grease also leaks into the unit under the bottom plate. In the long term I can see this starting to get smelly from rancid oil. I see you can unscrew the plates to maybe clean that out. Also the printing on the lid will wipe off if exposed to grease. But for a little 12 dollar waffle iron for waffles and cheesy eggs, it is a good buy.

Great Little Waffle Maker
So easy and fun to use. Great for waffles or chaffles made from just about any type of batter. Love the pretty color too!

There are pros and cons....
I will start this off by saying that I was upset after i bought this when I happened to see this at a retail store for 5$ less like a few days after it arrived and was used, so I just kept it. Aside from the price issue, Its a cool little waffle maker. It heats up extremely fast, like super fast, and it gets way to hot on the outside where it shouldn't be that hot. You pretty much need to use pot holders, but that makes it challenging because pot holders are too bulky for how small this unit is. I initially bought this for my teenagers to make their own stuff on here, but with how hot it gets, i kindve took over cause they kept burning themselves, and even I pretty much go into it now knowing that im gonna get burned when i make waffles lol. You can use it to make others things like eggs and grilled cheese as well. If you are super hungry or cooking for multiple people it does take forever since its so small. Im not talking about the obvious small size of the product itself, im talking about the cooking part is even smaller on the inside since when the unit is closed, if what youre cooking is bulky, the part that can fit over the center is the only part that gets cooked, so you have to rotate what you are cooking to make sure it gets cooked like the bread for grilled cheese for example. As long as you cook your food for a long enough time, the non stick works pretty well. The most i had to do is nudge the food with a spatula if it got a little stuck. I also find this hard to clean with certain foods. For example, If i made grilled cheese with butter on the outside of the bread, even after i use water and steam it clean, once it cools down the oil is still there, and unless you fully submerge it, which youre not supposed to do, its hard to get the grease off between the small nodules.

Doesn't heat up enough, takes too long to cook, waffles don't get crispy.
I bought three different waffle makers in order to make Keto Chaffles. Here is my comparison and the results:Winner:Dash Multi:Can make several chaffles at once so you're not hanging over the maker for a long period of time. Heats up quickly, cooks quickly and evenly, and has overflow channels to catch any excess, thereby making cleanup easier. I love it! The only con is that the lid will not latch in place, so you can't store it vertically. A scant 1/4 cup seems to be the right amount to fill each circle. Use a bit less when making cheddar chaffles, as cheddar seems to really puff up and overflow.First Runner-Up:Dash Mini:Heats up quickly and cooks quickly. Easy to clean as long as you don't overfill it. A scant 1/4 cup seems to be the right amount to fill. Use a bit less when making cheddar chaffles. Once you get the hang of the proper amount to use, this waffle iron makes a very nice, crispy waffle with minimal cleanup. If it overflows, it's a big ol' mess! This mini waffle maker is a great size for travel! There is one pretty big annoyance, however, and that is that the lid will not stay open easily. When the iron is cool, the lid stays open pretty well. But for some reason, when it heats up, it doesn't want to stay open and is super frustrating when trying to get out the last of the batter with a rubber spatula. I've been torquing on the lid a bit to see if I can loosen up whatever mechanism is causing it to shut too easily, and I'm hoping it will get better over time. Maybe I just got one that's defective? One other minor annoyance is that it's not easy to see the indicator light, as it is a tiny blue light behind blue plastic. Just be sure to look for the light right in the middle of the plastic center. I'm keeping the iron for travel purposes, but using the multi iron when I am home.Second Runner-Up (loser):Nostalgia MyMini:One thing I really liked about this iron, and the reason I wanted to try it, is because it is bigger than the Dash irons. It makes a 5" waffle (as compared to Dash's 4"). Therefore, it will accommodate a full 1/4 cup of batter without overflow. This unit heats up quickly, but doesn't cook quickly and the waffle never seems to get crisp. The iron itself doesn't seem like it's built as nicely as the Dash irons. And the whole thing is kind of rattly. In my pics, I have a comparison of the irons and the resulting chaffles (Nostalgia on the left, Dash mini in the middle, and Dash multi on the right). In the pic where the irons are open, they are in a different order (oops). (Dash multi on the left, Dash mini in the middle, and the Nostalgia on the right).

Love the 5” cooking surface
Having a slightly larger cooking surface than the more common mini waffle cookers makes a difference. Easy to use and clean. My first batch stuck to the pan, but after reducing the amount of water in the batter I haven’t had a problem.

Nice Little Waffle Maker !!!
OK so the price has gone up since I bought it. So depending on what the price is now that you are reading this maybe the value for money is not that great. But when I bought it - I believe it was the cheapest on Amazon. Works as intended. No sticking so far for the Canadian Protein mix and I do not grease the surfaces before making the waffle. A bit with the new Flourish mix I bought but maybe I will just need to grease the surfaces as intended lol. I like the size - if you prefer your waffles bigger then look elsewhere - it says right on the title "MINI". Ok cord length - not too short so it's annoying but not long as to create storage issues. No heat / scalding fingers issues on use either when I need to open the lid. You can always just choose to be careful and use a spatula. Don't blame your own stupidity on an appliance. Would have loved an on/off switch. But I have a switch plug that I use for my no-frills George Foreman - so I just unplug that and plug this little guy in to have the on/off control.

Cutest little mini waffle maker
It may be small but makes the perfect mini snack size waffle ! I am impressed and loving this! I used Kodiak Cake batter so was not able to make it crunchy because of the protein that’s in their batter. I am so excited to make my own batter to make it my desired texture. Love love love that it’s nonstick too!
