Cost effective smart thermostat
I bought this to provide my aging oil boiler with smart features, this replaced the analog room stat which was easy to connect, changed the boiler to constant and now I have smart heating control and linking into Apple Home Kit. I have coupled this with Meross TRV's on a couple of the radiators which gives me much more control of my heating without having the expense of replacing the boiler to something more modern which would work with the likes of Hive or Nest. Simple and effective and I think a much cleaner look that the previously mentioned competitors. The app is basic but functional and easy to use to change schedules or manually control the heating. If you're looking to have remote access for your heating to have a warm house to come home to, this is a great option.

A True Game-Changer for Home Heating: Seamless Smart Control and Fantastic Energy Savings!
I recently purchased the Meross Smart Thermostat (MTS215B) for my Combi Boiler to finally upgrade my home heating system from an old, mechanical thermostat, and I can confidently say this is one of the best smart home investments I've ever made. Unparalleled Compatibility with Matter. The primary reason I chose this model was its support for Matter, and the integration has been absolutely flawless. Now I know it would work in the event of an internet outage. It connected seamlessly with my existing smart home ecosystem (whether you use HomeKit, Home Assistant, Alexa, or Google Assistant, this thing just works). The Matter compatibility means setup is fast, and the response time for commands, whether through the Meross App or a voice assistant (I use both Google and Home Assistant) is instantaneous. The hubless design is another massive plus, keeping my setup clean and simple. If you’re replacing a standard wall thermostat, the physical installation is surprisingly straightforward. The unit fits perfectly into a standard UK back box, and the clear terminal markings made wiring easy. The setup guide in the Meross app is excellent and walks you through the initial configuration step-by-step. The unit itself has a modern, elegant, and flat aesthetic that looks fantastic on the wall. The display is clear and bright without being distracting. Smart Features and Efficiency The real value, though, is in the app and the intelligent features. The ability to set detailed heating schedules via the app is incredibly useful for ensuring the house is warm exactly when we need it, without wasting energy when we’re out. I especially appreciate the smart energy-saving functions: Open Window Detection: It automatically pauses heating if it senses a sudden drop in temperature, preventing wasted heat. Helpful if it's in a hallway for example and you need to leave the front door open for a while! Frost Protection: Peace of mind during colder months. Data Logging: Being able to see the temperature history and heating activity is vital for fine-tuning our schedules and optimizing energy use. This thermostat is highly accurate and has made a noticeable difference in how efficiently our combi boiler runs. It maintains a consistent, comfortable temperature without any of the fluctuations we experienced with the old unit. Final Verdict If you have a combi boiler or water underfloor heating system and are looking for a reliable, feature-rich, and universally compatible smart thermostat, look no further. The Meross MTS215B is affordable, easy to install, and delivers superior performance. Highly recommended for anyone looking to modernize their heating and save on energy bills!

Easy to install, beautiful to look at
Not only does the Meross Smart Thermostat MTS215 look the part, but it was easy to install, and literally started controlling our underfloor heating before I had time to fix everything back on the wall! This is a sleek piece of equipment, designed for convenience and simplicity, with a great user experience and understated design that blends in with any decor. And since this is the Matter-compatible version, it pretty much connects to any smart device that can control Thermostats. So I can set our temperature, check the humidity levels in the room as well as switch the heating on when we're away and we have a house sitter staying over. Our previous 'dumb' thermostat required an advanced degree to set up and the house sitter could not switch the heating on, even standing there! With the Meross Thermostat, all that is a non-issue and the only non-smart part of the house is now covered. One small detail, the device is so sleek, that it is likely to be slightly smaller than what you had before, so I created a 3d-printed faceplate to hide the bits of missing plaster around the corners (see photos). Well done team Meross for building such a cool device! It's joined the rest of Meross devices in the house, which at Christmas times is important, since they control our street Christmas lights and other associated items :D

Great, but has HomeKit issues
*OVERALL* Super easy to install and setup in Home Assistant, I doubt I’ll use the Meross app, but I did check it out and it has reasonable functionality, plus it then enabled me to use the Meross LAN HACS. I also have it linked to HA using the Matter hub of my Apple TV as a backup, however, there seems to be a serious issue with Apple Home though. *DETAILED* I originally tried to set it up in Apple Home first, it added very easily, but then becomes unresponsive and never returns, so I then decided to set it up using the HA Matter integration, it works perfectly in HA, but then sharing it via Matter to Apple home has the same outcome as the first way, works as soon as it’s added, but then becomes unresponsive. So, I just left it added via Matter to HA for the backup, setup the Meross App, done the software update and then added the Meross LAN HACS, removed the app from my phone and linked the climate entity created from Meross LAN to Apple Home via the Bridge and it works in the Home App fine now. I would have liked to get it setup like another reviewer has done, so Apple Home sees the Auto mode, but after all the faff, I’ve just left it as it… so I’m unable to setup keeping, as the other reviewers image shows in Apple Home, although if you follow their guide, then I’m sure you’ll get it. The Meross LAN HACS is pretty decent and exposes a lot of controls, I might come back and try again using the other reviewers method at a later date, but it works fine how I’ve set it up, temperature control is simple using any Climate Card in HA, or talking to Assistant, Alexa and Siri.

Works well with both Alexa and Echo Hub (stateful thermostats)
I configured this thermostat to control my water underfloor heating. I needed to link L and COM using the provided link wire, connect the live to L, the neutral to N, and the single actuator wire to NO (normally open). I installed the Meross app on my phone and created a Meross account so I could configure the thermostat for Wifi (only 2.4 GHz is supported) and link the skill for the Meross app to Alexa. Having done this, I could control the thermostat using Alexa, my Echo Hub or the Meross app. My previous thermostat was not stateful, so it wasn't accessible using the Echo Hub. I wasn't sure whether this Meross thermostat was stateful as that information wasn't given in the listing or on the Meross website, but having taken a chance, it appears that it is indeed stateful. The thermostat fulfills all the functions I require (there are many more that I won't be using), the app is easier to use than the one for my previous thermostat (Beok) and the design is much more aesthetically pleasing. It took me less than 30 minutes to install the thermostat, including downloading the app, registering and linking with Alexa. I can't say how well it would work with Google, Apple, Matter etc. as I've only bought into the Amazon smart home ecosystem. The price seems pretty reasonable for what the device offers.

Strong Device , Easy to use and install
I’m genuinely impressed with the Meross boiler controller. Setup was quick and straightforward, with clear instructions that were easy to follow in the App with detailed diagrams. The labels and the extended temperature probe are a really nice touch and made the whole process feel well thought out rather than rushed. The HomeKit integration was by far the easiest I’ve experienced. It paired almost instantly and has been completely reliable since, which is a refreshing change. Compared to my previous experience with Tado, this has been far less temperamental and just works the way you’d expect it to. It’s been installed for about 10 days and Day to day performance has been solid and consistent, with no random disconnects or strange behaviour. It’s the kind of product you forget about once it’s installed, which is exactly what you want from a heating controller. This will definitely be my go to choice for future properties, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and easy to use smart boiler controller.

Not Fit for Purpose: Must be on at high temp to supply TRVs even if 1 room hot (support confirms)
This thermostat is not fit for purpose - Meross support have confirmed that it is working as intended, which is bananas. I bought MTS200 thermostat and 4 x MTS150 TRVs. When a TRV calls for heat, hot water is only delivered if the thermostat is both on and below its set temperature - which means to run one radiator, the system has to be continually on. Compare this to Tado where so long as the thermostat is on, a call for heat will be answered irrespective of whether the system thermostat is above its set temperature (and remember that heating systems are meant to have at least 1 radiator not using a TRV). With the Meross system, I have to set the thermostat (at the top of the house) to 36oC if I want to ensure that rooms with TRVs are heated. The system is constantly on and the room without a TRV (remember 1 required) is uncomfortably hot unless I have a window open. With the heating on. The system cannot work to minimise efficiency as designed. The thermostat would need to be sited in the room which was always the coldest and each room would need to lose heat at the same rate so they didn't end up cold at a time when the 'coldest' room was hotter then them. Absurd. This can be fixed in software by Meross, but as it stands it's useless and is going back for a refund. Oh and also worth mentioning, I had to buy a 2.4GHz access point to connect it - like most Meross kit it's unable to connect to an iPhone in the presence of a 5GHz network. My network doesn't let you turn off a frequency band and the iPhone doesn't let you force it to connect via 2.4GHz. Most Meross kit has numerous bad reviews for connection problems and their products tell you lots about troubleshooting it - indicating it's a big problem. But they don't fix these issues. On kit designed to be used with iPhone/HomeKit. Genuinely bewildering why they don't address it. From support e-mail: "Sorry, the MTS200 won't turn on or heat up automatically when the MTS150 calls for heating; you need to turn it on manually via the MTS200 touch panel or the app when the MTS150 needs to heat. As the MTS150 relies on the hot-water provided by the boiler, to ensure the hot water is powerful enough for the MTS150, you need to set the target temperature of the MTS200 much higher than the target temperature of the MTS150." For me, "much higher" is 36oC...

The Perfect Hub-Free HomeKit Thermostat for Boilers
I’ve been looking for a native HomeKit solution for my combi boiler that didn't require yet another bridge/hub, and the Meross is it. Why I love it: Native Integration: It paired instantly with Apple HomeKit and responds almost immediately to Siri commands. Precision Control: The 0.5°C accuracy is excellent, and the calibration feature in the Meross app lets you fine-tune it if your wall box runs a little warm. Open Window Detection: A great energy-saver it automatically pauses the heating if it detects a sudden temperature drop from an open window. Design: The white LED display behind the glass panel looks premium and minimalist. It’s much more modern than the old "clicky" thermostats. Installation was straightforward (standard 230V wiring), and having the option for an external sensor for underfloor temperature protection is a thoughtful touch.
