Nutricology Securil, Vegicaps, 30-Count

This was purchased for an elderly person with slower digestive system. The Gastroenterologist said it might be necessary to try different formulas to find the best combination and this was it. I use a variety of Nutricology products, so I was comfortable with the quality and reliability of the company.

WAR ON CANDIDAThis product has been life-changing in my multi-year war on candida. I understand from my naturopath, that it works by feeding the bifido bacteria colonies occuring in our large intestines. While great by itself, I am taking it with a broad spectrum probiotic containing bifido. my energy is better and my yeast symptoms went way down after just one dose. I like that I don't stop feeling a benefit when I stop the product. It's benefits are long lasting.

Keep in mind that our microbiome is like our fingerprint--unique and individual to each person. That being said on the first day I tried this I did feel a small bump in energy--maybe about 2-3%--which is a lot to pwME/CFS.I've had ME/CFS for 39 years and this at least made me remember how I felt 20 years ago when it was not as progressed.The second day I initially got the same reaction but a short time later, I had a very uncomfortable wired feeling. I then waited about a week to try again and this time I started to get heart flutters and later one of my unique symptoms of feeling "heart tired."I think this is just too strong for me right now. I am going to go on to some other things to try and shift my microbiome and maybe later this may be okay. One good note is that my blood pressure is normally extremely low. Up until last year it was always was around 86/58. Daily licorice brought that up to 91/59.This probiotic brought my bp into a "normal" range of about 107/69 which is why I think I initially felt better. Only one other probiotic has ever done that for me so I will probably keep this on my "try again" list.

This product is excellent! It cleared up my never ending jock itch and almost all of my IBS.

Eh, I take a number of other probiotics and didn't notice anything with this. I was hoping it would help with B12 levels, but nope....

A reviewer on iherb stated that these caused rectal discomfort. It caused rectal bleeding for me.

This is the only supplement I have found that has the Propioni species. It is very desirable as it helps establish the entire band of good guys in your intestines. However my first purchase included out of date packages. The bacteria were still alive - they curdled milk- so I did not return them.The supply should not dump out of date products on consumers. Easy to do when the consumer cannot see the date before purchasing.
