It is really neat to be able to tell Alexa to turn the lights on and off as well as what colors you want. After a couple of weeks, however, the LED strip tends to go off-line. You have to go thru a process of re-configuring the Led Strip. This is becoming an annoyance. The remote still works, but the WIFI is an issue in itself . Until they correct this issue, another star will go away.Update (01/20/18) The LED strip came back online by itself. Their server or the built-in WIFI of the unit? Hmmmmm.Update (01/28/18) Still have issues with it going offline. Are others out there having this same problem?Update (04/05/18) Gave up on the WiFi. I guess they put these out too early as the lights keep going off line. I have since told others to look elsewhere for more dependable lights that will stay online and work with Alexa. The remote works great. I wish they would stay online as that the phone app is really neat. To late to return.Update (12/16/18) Either Amazon Alexa or the company that makes this product, has updated the software. The lights now stay connected and work every time. Kudos to those who continually work to make their product better.

This is a lot more than I expected. I’m more than happy. The main reason I bought this one was due to the WiFi connect as opposed to Bluetooth. I like to play music off my phone so WiFi was a must. You can customize lighting patterns. Have a continuous color. Different colors of strobe lights. Full white spectrum. (2000 - 9000k) You can speak into your phone mic and the light with sync with you voice. You can aim your camera at a color and the lights will replicate it. Not to mention they just look cool. I bought 45 degree connectors and put it around the back edge of my tv and ran it down light up under my tv stand. The 3M tape works great and according to the product page they recently upgraded to it. The light are easy to install. Especially if you don’t plan on using angle connectors. I used the ones that are suggested by amazon and they worked fine. Took like 3 tries to finally get a technique down. Probably took me 30 minutes to Install the lights and figure out WiFi and the app

I did initially have some problems but it was more my fault than yours. Once I actually followed the directions the setup went along smoothly. I use it with amAmazon Echo/Alexa. I bought the extenders etc in anticipation of other more complicated projects in my kitchen and stairway. Again not as many colors as the Phillips version but less than half the cost and 15 feet versus about 5 feet for Phillips. It’s a no brainer.Derrick

These lights are great! Far exceeded my expectations. Easy to install. Easy to cut. Alexa integration was simple. The music/microphone capability is a fun little trick that my kids love already. They put off a lot of light and offer the ability to dim them to your liking. Will definitely be ordering more.

When using the color wheel, you can achieve almost any color you want to go for easily, the app also has a CCT color wheel for those that would be interested.Within the app, there is the ability to create functions, and use default functions as well. I made a breathing rainbow effect in about 2 minutes, and once made, you can go back in and edit every single part all over again. These functions can be saved and you can have several customs saved.Cons:The Alexa functionality is within the scope of changing color and brightness, and not a whole lot past that. There are several colors (pink, for example) that when I ask Alexa to change the lights to said color, instead she changed them to white. Also, the functions that I have mentioned before cannot be used with Alexa, unless you run them before, then just ask her to turn the lights on.The adhesive on the back of the strip works, however I have noticed sagging in several places. I cannot say whether it is because my walls have a gritty texture, or if it is due to my own error, and therefore I will refrain from adding this as a major con, but found it worth mentioning, due to seeing other reviews mention it.Overall:Price to performance I would say there is a reason that this strip is Amazons Choice. I have had no issues with setting these up as a smart device, or using the included remote instead. I have two strips connected to one another, sacrificing next to no brightness doing so. I fully recommend these lights.

I originally would have given these a 2 star. Not because the lights didn't work, but because the wifi controller didn't work. Customer service was very nice and responded right away to my question. Turns out, the error was on my part. I was not allowing my phone to stay connected to the wifi controller. Once I allowed that, everything worked perfectly. The lights are awesome and I've integrated then with Alexa very easily. I plan on getting more here soon!

These were easy for a technologically-challenged person to set up, and work great with my EchoDot. Granted, I couldn’t figure out how to change the colors without using the hand-held remote; I don’t know if you can using the EchoDot, but I only need it for nightlight purposes and it works great for that.

The lights are fantastic. They are super easy to set up and have a multitude of features. The brightness is more than enough and every color range you can think of. The 3M tape on the back sticks perfectly as I affixed it to a hanging upside down wooden surface. The product also interfaces with Amazon Alexa without a problem. I would and will buy another.
