The only way to store your beans
This is my third unit now. I bought a small one to start with which holds about 250g of beans but thats an expensive way to buy, so I bought a medium which holds 500g and I buy 1k bags, put 500g into the Airscape and 500g into a less expensive 500g airtight container which stays full until its decanted into the Airscape when the first 500g is used up.The beans are kept totally free of oxidising air and stay as fresh as when the carton is first opened. Its such a simple idea and clever. Regular airtight containers are only efficient when full up and as you use thee beans, they are replaced with air and become useless at preventing air from damaging the coffee flavours on offer. You simply pour your beans into the Airscape jar, shake them level and then push the inner lid into the jar and you hear the reassuring hissing sound of the air being pushed out. Even when half empty the bit of the jar containing the beans remains completely free of air. Basically, the jar is always full up. It seems a bit expensive for a jar but it is beautifull made with high precision so that no air can leak in and the container always remains rigid so its always airtight.I'm not a coffee officinado but I do get paranoid about keeping my coffee fresh. A while back I had an opened bag of quality beans which I didn't store correctly, they went off tasted dreadful and I ended up chucking £35 of beans. I then bought an air tight container from Amazon which was OK but I began to realise that it was half full of beans and half full of air so it was not an ideal situation. I bit the bullit and bought the Airscape. Haven't looked back. I drink mainly decaff during the day and Italian Expresso in the morning. A 500g decaff lasts me a couple of weeks and its freshness seems to last easily that time. I use the caff coffee less and a kilo bag lasts a couple of months but it remains forever fresh in the Airscape. What's expensive is cheap in the long run and I haven't had to chuck any beans in ages. As you may gather, I think its a really great item and worth every penny.

Great quality & useful for people getting into home-made coffee
Is a sturdy and well made tin that keeps your beans fresh for longer, great capacity that holds a decent amount of beans. The bottom has a silicone pad attached to cushion the metal tin against your counter surfaces. Comes with a fabric bag as well.Has 2 seals, one is the outer transparent lid and also an inner seal with a pull handle that you can push down depending on how many beans you have to store, both have a rubber suction rim for airtightness.Great addition if you want to keep an expensive bag of beans fresh for longer.

Airtight and colorful
Very good airtight canister I have no idea why the other reviewers said there is no handle of course there’s a handle it comes with it. It’s attached to the top of it anyway worth the money does the job.

Nice!
Not used for long and very over priced for what it is. But I like the way it's designed and will see how long the fresh coffee is at its best. Love the yellow.
