Got mine on a open box deal for $5.74? and it's FANTASTIC. Love the bright ambient glow it puts off, compared to a small, LED that is more pinpoint in it's light (aka my lanter with 4 LED lights hurts my eyes if I have it pointed incorrectly). It turns on when screwed in all the way, AND the surrounding lights....is getting dark. If they go on sale I'll gladly order more. The 3 total solar recharge strips are great (many lights only have one area to get sun from). Good light and will definately light up a nice 12 x 12 foot area well :)

This light comes in handy, and I use it at night , in my bedroom some nights. It charges well, but I leave it in the window, everyday. You can use this as a regular light bulb, in a socket. It's nice to have camping too. It lights up fairly bright. It has a hook, to hang it, or you can stand it up. Either way, I am sure you will find some good use for it. Great for emergencies too

This is my third. Bought 2 for Hurricane Maria 9 months without power and it worked great. Obviously with the much use one caved. Recommend 100%

I don't like the idea that there is no power button on this item. Given the fact the only way to turn off or on is to screw it. I also don't like that the hook is nothing more that plastic, so if it breaks I'm screwed. In the photo of this item there appeared to be a power button on top of this device, but there is not, so picture is deceiving. Also there is no mention in item description of how to power this thing on or off. Again it's deceiving, cause everything has a power button, at least everything I ever owned. Other than these these flaws it emits the amount of light expected.

I sent them out to Puerto Rico to my family to use while there was no power or lights and they were very very well the lightbulbs can actually be used as regular light bulbs which is great and have a long life span

Barely have enough light to see where I was going just in my front deck. Would have been terrible camping. Bought two and second one would not turn on after the first use even with a full day being out in the sun light.

Great emergency light. I love them as they do provide sufficient lighting for me when I experience power outages. I use them in my lamps so that they can always be charged.
