The best phone i've ever owned and used.
This really is an excellent phone, Originally had a Nexus 6P which was decent but overly large and heavy, then due to an accident, went to a Nexus 5X and while quite a nice size, the battery was seriously lacking. This phone is firstly gorgeous, the AMOLED screen is stunning and the battery life is lasting me at least a day and a half.Seems to also charge faster than the Nexus 5X, probably down to using Quickcharge 3.0 instead of 2.0.The software on the phone is the best iteration of Android i have used except for pure stock. Its very close to stock and you can easily make it like that. This phone is also one of the most secure, so i would recommend it for that reason alone.

Don't buy this phone - unless you enjoy atrocious power management problems.
The phone itself is fine - much of a muchness with other phones really. But, after about a year the problems reported by other reviewers started. Battery level draining incredibly quickly, until eventually (18 months after purchase) it became very unstable.Power level would go from (say) 100% to 0% in a second, and then back up to 100%, sometimes alternating between the two figures for several seconds. Then it started to immediately shut itself down due to perceiving that the battery had emptied, despite it previously showing as 100%. It would also shut down randomly - either while using it, or when sat quietly on the side (including on charge).Ultimately, it got to a point that it even started to shut down during the boot sequence as it thought it had ran out of power - despite being plugged in.The root cause seems to be a power management issue rather than the battery (reported as healthy by the diagnostics). So this suggests it is a more fundamental issue with the device itself rather than a dodgy battery. In short, a decent phone in principle, but seriously let down by the incredibly shoddy build quality. Best avoided.

Good looking device, good specifications
As a long-term BlackBerry user, I thought I'd try the DTEK60 having spent a year or so using a non-BlackBerry device. The phone itself looks well-made and stylish. The specs are good on paper. All seemed well for the first few weeks of use. But then, a fault crept in where the device would be entirely unresponsive to touch commands. This would seemingly happen randomly, although I did notice it seems more prominent near the edges of the device.I ordered a replacement, but after a month or so this too began to exhibit the same problem.I'm unsure as to whether the problem is hardware-related, or down to very poor OS optimisation. I have noticed a number of complaints over an unresponsive device on the CrackBerry forums. However, even post-factory reset, I was quickly experiencing the same thing. It was more than 'Android lag', in that the device would literally do nothing at all, meaning I was often missing phone calls because I was unable to answer.Perhaps I was just unlucky, or perhaps I had two from a faulty batch, or perhaps there's an inherent issue on a hardware or OS level. But I have since arranged a refund.

- bb os 10 is the best software available - i used bb10 on an Z10 ...
to start my review i have to state this:- bb os 10 is the best software available- i used bb10 on an Z10 (what a freeking great phone for the price)- i only change to android, well, because there is no more support for external apps.android is open, customisable, etc etc but come on!!!for me, as a person, i like/praise the freedoom of choice but..isn't it a bit stupid to have to download a app for everithing???as an example, i want to set a music as a ringtone i have to download a app specifically for that.... what?!??! before it was "built in option"Now, about the DTEK60android come packed with the best apps:the hub, the calendarjust this is worth to go BB (yes u can have it on other phones with a monthly fee but , for me, coming pre installed on the phone is reason enough)for those who used it on bb10 is not the same but comes closethis phone is making it a very pleasant android experienceof course, there is no real multitasking as on BB10, (even on a 4gb phone compared to what it was on a 2gb phone, like Z10)... but that is an android question, not BB or DTEKabout hardware.. humm, smooth glass everywhere(i carry mine unprotected....i can't have that smoothness and not being able touch it !!lbut be carefull, it slides everywhere, i had to glue to it some rubber anti sliding "thingies" like those for chairs not to slip.very light weightedthe location of bottons, well is true you'll take a lot of unwanted print screens!the camera protruding, untill now, is not a real issue.well, you can read the specs\reviews anywherewhen it come to smartphones i never used a flagship before so i cannot really compare.but, for what i "studied" and read (and i did a lot, before deciding on buynig it, cos my heart was on BB but i wanted to be a choice from the head), this is the best quality/price ratio out there.better ratio maybe the One Plus.... but i trust BB, and i love the BB apps
