Q: What weight is each sachet?

According to my scales, weight and contents of one sachet is 5g. Hope this is helpful.

Q: How many batches can you make from each sachet of kefir before it loses its potency?

Hi there I reckon you get two weeks worth of kefir from one sachet. It starts to lose its efficiency and vigour after that time and I always used organic milk. hope this helps

I sachet to make a litre of kefir. Then you can use some of the batch you made to make a new batch when you have almost finished the initial litre. The unopened sachets can be kept for quite some time in the refrigerator (months) without going off. However for all cultures based on bacteria it is essential to keep everything hygienic.

Q: When i make yoghurt i use an organic uht milk so i dont have to bother boiling it, could i do the same with the kefir powder ie. add to uht milk ?

The instructions say to use whole milk but not UHT. Don't know why but following the instructions has worked every time for me.
