Absolutely dreadful. 20 lanterns bought, ALL of them were faulty. Not a single one flew into the sky. 19 of them had tears and rips despite extremely careful opening, and one of them actually managed to open without a rip but the wax power block was so small that it didn’t generate enough heat to lift the lantern into the air, and it sunk to the ground then burnt out after around 20 seconds. Absolutely awful quality, completely unusable, DO NOT BUY!!! Zero stars if I could.

Ordered this item and arrived in a good timescale as expected, used on an evening and the lanterns were good quality and worked as should. I would definitely buy again.

These lanterns can often be flimsy and other reviews bemoaned them sticking together and tearing. No they so ours! Easy to get out of packaging, no tearing. Need to attach fuel blocks yourself, but that's just pushing two wires through a hole and bending over to fix (make sure you attach your block INSIDE the lantern not underneath it). Have had mixed success with getting these things to go up before but there were 30 of us with 20 between us and every single one went up beautifully and without a hitch - perfect!

These worked very well and I am happy with them, but they do contain wire in them, although they do have a bamboo structure, they still have a wire frame. They were also very difficult to open out without them ripping as the seems to be stuck together with some form of adhesive. I ripped a few but they still worked with small to medium sized rips.

We bought these for my sisters birthday last year when she turned eighteen. The lanterns were bigger than what we suspected and they took a few moments to light the wax at the bottom which you have to put on yourself. It took about three of us to light each lantern (two to hold it and one to light it) but they looked so good going off at night in the summer. It was a great effect and well worth the buy.

I brought these as a farewell gift for a friend who was returning home, my flatmates and I planned to set a few off as a sweet memory. These are incredibly dangerous and we could not set them off because the first lanterns would set on fire and fall mid-air, the wax still on fire would drop to the ground, it was so hot it burnt our patio, we honestly could not go ahead with it after that ethically because we feared someone may get hurt or a home set on fire.Sorry to spoil the cheap deal - please please please spend a few extra pounds and get a safer version somewhere else, I wish I had - totally spoiled the evening and made me look irresponsible in front of my friend for buying something so dangerous!HUGE FIRE HAZARD - DON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HURTING SOMEONE PLEASE - THESE MAY BE CHEAP BUT THE WAX DROPS OUT OF THE LANTERN WHILE ON FIRE AND BURNING HOT - PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE ESPECIALLY AROUND CHILDREN OR NEAR ANYONE HOMES!

Most of them had holes in them, however a couple did work. Beware of these near trees as they could easily start a fire
