Mystic Moments | Liquid Castile Soap Organic 500g

I am so happy with this natural soap. Previously bought Dr Bronner's and this is so much cheaper. It is not only cheaper but gloopier, in a good way! I take a couple of tablespoons put in a few grinds of sea salt and mix it until it becomes a 'glob'. I then mix it to the required thickness with coconut milk and oil, you can use cooled boiled water, rose water or oil on it's own I suppose to enable you to keep it longer (never done this). I then add essential oils. It is silky smooth and thick, like commercial soap. Make it fresh and don't keep it too long if you use water or coconut milk, probably about 3 weeks or so (you can use it in the shower or as hand soap so it never lasts that long in my house anyway!) I put 1 part to 4 parts boiled water in a spray bottle with a few drops of teatree and lavender oil to clean everything. As it is oil based it shines up work surfaces and floors, but remember to buff it dry or it will be greasy. Clean your bath, sink and loo with a spray of this, a shake of bicarb, a rub with a damp cloth (and a loo brush and tooth brush for the loo). Rinse, spray with a mist of hydrogen peroxide to sanitise, dry off and hey presto, best cleaner ever with no nasty chemicals! One little thing is you have to add a few more drops of essential oil to cover the smell, it isn't horrible, its just olive oily. If you hadn't realised, I will be ordering again, and again, although this will last a good few months.

I am so happy with this purchase! I have just put the 5kg bottle in my amazon basket. I bought the 1kg bottle several months ago to use as a handwash. We have 5 people in our household and 3 bathrooms and I just hated buying bottles and bottles of chemical filled, brightly coloured handwashes - it was costing a small fortune not to mention the chemicals it was exposing us too! I researched castile soap and bought the 1kg bottle, some essential oils and some empty clear dispenser bottles thinking was this going to work..........! Well it has and I am so happy!! Just used as a handwash for a family of 5 I estimate 1kg will last at least 6 months. The first month is more expensive as you are buying the bottles and essential oil (you do not need the essential oil but it is nicer to have a sweet natural scent after washing your hands - the castile soap doesn't really have a smell so not like you are trying to mask anything, you are just adding your preferred smell - the essential oil will last a really long time!! You just need about 10 little drops per bottle). I HALF FILL the dispenser bottle with castile soap then fill to the top with water and then add the essential oil and shake. Yes - the handwash is much more watery than the thick horrible stuff you might be used to with chemical handwash soaps but when you rub your hands together - it gives a good coating of soap and when you rinse it off you feel completely clean and cleansed without any residue. This is the way to go for handwash!! natural, chemical free, no dispenser bottle wastage as you reuse them for aslong as they work, you can tailor the scent with natural essential oils and it works out cheaper (not a HUGE amount but probably half the cost). I haven't used it for shampoo, body cleanser or laundry but now I am hooked I probably will!

Great for sensitive skin - I used this to bathe a gravel rash with no irritation. Ideal for use in home made toiletries and baby wipes etc. The consistency is great, not too watery. Feels luxurious and creamy on wet skin. Cleans effectively. I used it after sport as a shower gel and it got rid of all sweat odours. Leaves skin feeling clean, doesn't seem to dry out skin like fragranced products do. A little goes a long way. No discernable scent, just a neutral, subtle hint of soapiness. Doesn't foam too much, just enough to get a lather.

So this is a good Castile soap - I bought it as an alternative to Dr Bronner's which is admittedly very expensive. However, this is not a rival, by any means. It is simply not as good, it doesn't foam as well (I use it diluted in a foaming dispenser) and you need more of this to get the same results. It has a clean scent but again, nowhere near as strong as Dr. Bronner's so I think I will return to my usual, once I run out - sorry :(

amazing castile soap. make skin feels so soft. great to use as a shampoo with your own oils. Very thick and not running highly recommend.

Before buying this pure soap I had an endless cycle of washing with commercial shower gels which dried my skin and left it constantly dry itchy and scaly. I would then have to use copious amounts of moisturiser just to stop scratching my legs raw. I bought this soap initially as I wanted to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals I used on my skin and hair, and decided to give the 'no poo' method a go. I have not so far got on very well with it as a shampoo. Its only been a few weeks and apparantly I have to go through a transition period. However, the soap has had an almost miraculous effect on my skin to the point where I have not had to use any moisturiser on my body, hence no more itching and scaly skin. It also feels cleaner and without that residue feeling of a shower gel. I would also recommend it to women who have problems with using perfumed or coloured shower gels for their 'sensitive' areas as it has a dramatic positive effect there also!! The soap does not smell as pleasant as a commercial shower gel but I have added essential oils which have improved it.

Jabón completamente natural, con el consiguiente olor poco agradable hasta que uno lo prepare para su uso. Hay bastante guías online pero básicamente se trata de conseguir la mezcla con agua y aceites esenciales que se necesiten. Yo, personalmente, lo mezclo con agua en proporción 1:2 (jabón:agua), y luego he ido probando con distintos aceites esenciales. Para medio litro de jabón ya mezclado con agua utilizo tres tipos de aceite y unas 30 gotas de cada uno van perfectas. Yo utilizo árbol de té (propiedades excelentes para cuidados de la piel), limón o naranja (aroma) y romero, aunque quiero probar con aceite portante de aloe vera. Es completamente falso que este producto reseque. Yo tengo un problema de sequedad de manos cuando utilizo jabones químicos, con éste tengo que ponerme muchísima menos crema de manos, y mi mujer, que tiene problemas de dermatitis alérgica en las manos, puede dejar de usar cremas de cortisona ya que le ayuda muchísimo. Para nosotros el litro dura casi un año, combinado con el coste de los aceites esenciales al final del año se queda por debajo de los 3 euros al mes, creo que más que abordable para lo que aporta.

Gute Konsistenz

Es la segunda vez que lo compro, creo que eso dice mucho. Me encanta! Es el jabón más natural que se puede comprar, en casa lo usamos para ducharnos, para las manos y para el pelo de los niños (Lo he probado en mi pelo y no me gusta, pero el pelo de los niños queda bien). El primero nos ha durado 10 meses pero estoy segura que este durará bastante más porque el otro lo utilicé unas cuantas veces para lavar la ropa. Parece un poco caro al principio pero a la larga es más barato (por lo menos en nuestro caso) y más cómodo porque ya te olvidas de comprar jabón casi todo el año.
